Romo sucks in the RZ

He can make the back shoulder throw like a champ. The fade is an overrated play. It almost never works.

He's very good with it down the field, but not in short yardage and certainly not near the goal line.

Because of the space limitation, the red zone is a pressure situation that requires the WRs to be open immediately off the line or set free with misdirection or fakes. Romo usually has to scramble because the menu of Garrett plays are so limited and thus repetitive that blanketing coverage and overloading the O line is frequently an option. Nobody is open until the free runaround time that all the Dallas WRs get after Romo's seven step drop.

The question I always have is: Why are there no identifiable strategic plays conceived in desperation to score and specific to beat the weaknesses of that weeks defense?

Both of those TD throws we're talking about were from inside the RZ.

Yes, but neither was short yardage.

They were both situations that gave him enough space to throw it down the field.....they weren't quick snap and throw plays.

That is the back shoulder throw that he sucks at.

Back shoulder throw to Dez is money.

Witten should be used way more inside the 20 too. But fuck me, what do I, or any of you idiots know?
