Dalton is solid. He will never be elite, but he is going to get better. Considering the cost, he would have better value than Romo.

No, Dalton is pretty much an average QB. He's overrated. I'm not going to tell you I've seen tons of Bengals games, but both in the Dallas game, and in the Houston playoff game, he missed a lot of throws. Bengals should've beaten the Texans, but Dalton was all over the place. Overthrew AJ Green on an easy go ahead td with less than 4 minutes left. Ball placement was erratic as well on a number of other throws.

I wouldn't want him as my QB at all.

Agreed, Dalton is the kind of QB who looks good when he's young and you've had nothing, but he's never going to be a big winner unless he has a great defense. Pretty much the definition of bus driver. Kind of like Matt Schaub.

He's the exact reason people who hate on Romo are nuts. Odds are that Dalton is the kind of guy you get to replace him.

Dalton is a 2 season 25 yr old vet. I think it's way too early to say what he is or isn't. This year should be interesting for him as far as taking the next step or remaining average.
