Jenkins is for sure servicable.

Scandrick, and at this point Newman, can only be considered "servicable" if the point of your defense is to allow first downs by being a step late but still be able to make the tackle after the first down pickup most of the time.

I can look at Ryan and perhaps conclude he isnt a "worthwhile" DC, because he's never had good results anywhere he's been. The excuse had always been lack of talent, but while this defense isnt elite talent wise there are some good players.

He had a top 10 defense in Oakland and had the 13th ranked scoring defense in Cleveland, I think he has had some good results.

He had a top 10 defense because of the pass defense one yr, but you failed to note that their run defense was at the bottom of the league. When it so easy to run on a team and then they get behind, there's little reason to throw alot.

And I would think the fact that teams had no worry about Cleveland scoring many points on them last yr played into rather conservative game plans by alot of teams he faced. One yr out of 5 or 6 isnt much of an accomplishment.

I did not forget anything, you said he has never had any success and thats not true, he has had some success.

But you can nitpick the results to fit your erroneous statement if you like.

How was it erroneous? He has been mediocre at best everywhere else. Again the reason by everyone was the lack of talent where he was, but there clearly is more talent here than he had anywhere else, and the results are just as bad if not worse.
