The Cowboys will sign defensive end Ryan Davis after he worked out for the team Tuesday. Davis recorded 11 sacks with the Jacksonville Jaguars from 2012-15, which is now the most of any defender on the roster. Cornerback Orlando Scandrick has 10.5 career sacks. Davis was among 14 players the Cowboys worked out on Tuesday, including quarterback Sean Renfree.

It's a depressing statistic.

And a testament to how this team mostly neglects the Dline. Marcus Spears was our last first round dlineman. Marcus Spears.

It is really sad that signing a scrub who averaged less than 3 sacks per season over the last 4 is a significant upgrade. But it is also LOL worthy too.

Yeah but Marinelli's a genius who can coach great performances out of ordinary players and blah blah blah blah blah blah...................................

Right. Can't stop the run in the middle and have 2 DEs coming back from their time in the crack house and they solve things with a high motor slow LB-sized non speed rusher who somehow has more sacks than any DL since Ware left. But still this 4-3 Under still has a big Strahan gap where a big fat nose tackle needs to be.

So glad we cut DeMarcus Ware.

Brandon Carr gets to stay but the Pro Bowl/Hall of Fame pass rusher just had to go?

I was beyond ecstatic that we essentially salvaged Ware's career by letting him go to a real coach and team. Happy it worked out for him. I really wonder how Witten felt seeing that.

We signed him because he had his best season in 2014.

This team is obsessed with 2014.

Every time the Cowboys sign a new pass rusher my nephew texts me the same picture of DWare in a Broncos uniform.
Asshole.
I have vowed to kill him next time I go to Colorado.
He claims I won't cause there are too many legal weed shops between the state line and his house.
Asshole.

Be glad for Ware, these fuckers could never figure out how to win with him and give him help on the D-line so his back would probably be broken had he remained in Dallas and the team wouldn't have been any more "successful" had he stayed
