It's been a long time since we've had a good offensive line. We have one guy in Smith that should be starting.

We've wasted so many picks dating all the way back to 1994 on lineman. I don't get it.

Colombo was great and so was Free. Two years ago?
:nsis

It's been a long time.

but, u had people talking up free like he was a piece you could build around. Guys like Dbair refused to acknowledge the offensive line was shitty. Even the year the SB was in the new stadium, you had people believing we were going to play in it. The line was obviously the worst unit on the team, and common sense should tell you, you're only as good as your weakest link.

That being said, a guy that thought the line was good or serviceable, I could see why he would think Free might be something special. But, if you looked at the line and saw shit all he way across, then some young hustle guy at RT, you oughta be able to tell the difference between good, or best of the worst.

I think we got a little carried away by him what with him being homegrown. It was like we nailed that pick, better lock him down for years1!

You can have a Doug Free on your line and win, but he can't be your 2nd best linemen.

Fellow scouts I talk to actually study the way Romo scrambles and try to bottle him up. Creating a collapsed pocket, no escape route, and no clear throwing lanes.

Just be glad TyronE isn't Jason Smith or Gosder Cherilus.

Once again a once in a lifetime player slips through our hands because Jerry wants to take the safe route. Maybe if we put the right offensive line scouts in place we wouldn't have to use a #9 overall pick on one who did not deserve to be picked there. Just a fucking thought here.

stfu with this revisionist history. Plenty of teams passed on Watt and we had an enormous need at tackle. Tyron was the right pick - who knows whether he'll ever be on the same level as Watt but he was the right pick.

Smith and Livings will be back. Cutting Free actually frees up some cap room but unless the team has signed his replacement, the cap room isn't enough to downgrade to Parnell. Bernadeau is playing his way to being a Cap Casualty and the team seems hooked on Phil Costa. So by my math, that's 1 new starter next year at Right Guard.

Actually, it wouldn't surprise me if Garrett and Jones bring out the continuity line and bring back all 5. :Emo

I did a fist pump when I saw Parnell go after the guy who hit Moorman.

Moormans been here 4 weeks, he's a punter, and he's white. So really nobody should care about him. But Parnell did.

Get 2 new guards. Draft Brian Winters (one of the most athletic tackles in this draft and a fast riser on peoples' boards) and move Tyron back to his natural RT position.

What say you?

Myself, I think Smith is going to be one of the better LTs in the league in a year or two.

There's not another player along the line that I would want to see starting next year.

PFF says Livings is Larry Allen-like so I don't see what the problem is.

Once Trywrong gets away from his leach family then I think he'll be okay.

Did you end up starting that running back named Taiwan last week?

It was like the biggest thing in America two winters ago when they outlawed the alcoholic version because you had really hyper drunks walking around everywhere.
