Cowboys Not Looking to Change Much

They have only won one playoff game in this millennium. Once again they were considered a Super Bowl contender in the preseason; once again they didn’t even make the post season. For a team that was once one of the most successful in football—even winning three Super Bowls in four seasons-- the Dallas Cowboys have not been very successful in a long time.

After another disappointing finish in 2011 it would not be surprising to see them make some changes, but it appears that they are only going with one. Secondary coach Dave Campo has been let go.

Campo had previously with the team as its secondary coach, defensive coordinator, and head coach. He was let go in 2002 after three straight seasons of 5-11 finishes. He returned in 2008 when Wade Phillips took over.

That year the defense was the fifth best in the NFL. Since then it set a record for most passing touchdowns the team has ever allowed (2010), and this past season allowed the second highest passing yards total in team history.
