He even said that he can see from what he has heard situations where we could take two cb's and two defensive lineman.

He did point out that we drafted 2 guards last year then signed two guards in free agency so he thinks we go defensive.

Said he sees no way mike jenkins is resigned and doesnt think spencer will be either

I can't see 6 of 8, but I do bet we take a corner sometime pretty high.

Wonder if Ryan still likes Scandrick as much as he did early in the season.

I'd be on board with that.

We have an offense capable of 28 points a game. It's our defense that needs an infusion of talent.

If I could pick the 2 offensive guys, I'm hoping one is a center, and the other is Joe Adams.

I'd even say we need more than 2 DL.

We need one plugger NT, and a three down 5 technique.

With his height and ball skills I don't see how anyone would want scandrick ever starting on the outside.

We don't necessarily need quantity. Just get two front 7 guys who can start

I'd put olb above NT. Between the depth there someone should get snaps. If were gonna rent Spencer for 1 year it'd be nice to groom his replacement.

2. Shea mccelin
2. Al ta'amu

How could anyone possibly know this?

Yeah, seeing you don't know what offensive players are there in the first 6 picks.

You don't reach on a player just because you need help on defense. You pick the BPA, regardless.

its true.

Not one person talked about ryan williams or bruce carter last year. and this free agency period not one person knew anything about vickers, livings or mack.

I don't count OLB a need.

We got Spencer for the year. We can see what Butler and Albright can do (<-- Ryan high on him)

And when Spencer leaves next year, we have a free agency/draft where we can focus on replacing him.

Don't forget Victor Butler is an Unrestricted Free Agent after this seaon as well.

Agree with that. I think Brent will be a pretty decent backup NT, and Lissemore has played some NT. We really don't have any depth at OLB.

I think we are lacking depth at a number of areas.

THe one I am concerned with the most that no one talks about is offensive tackle. It will be our luck to get the guard and center situation resolved and have a tackle get hurt like in 05.

Cant have 100% insurance everywhere.

They seem to like Parnell though. Not sure if he can do the job, but athletically they seem to think he can be a swing guy.

Good call on the OT. They may say they like Parnell, but do they like him in a "We can win playoff games with him starting" kind of way or in a "Decent developmental project considering we got him for free" kind of way?

So are you saying you think we should invest a premium pick in a backup T?

I will say this, one of the reasons I like Cordy Glenn is because he can definitely be a quality starting G, and he clearly can play RT and even LT in a pinch. He could probably be a year in and year out starter at RT. If Free doesnt show improvement and you've drafted Glenn, you could always slide him out to RT.

Nobody has really talked much about it, but they brought in Jeff Allen for a visit and he would be similar to Glenn with the position flexibility. And Silotulo has played T all his college career, he projects to G, but he could be similar to Larry Allen in terms of position flexibility.
