Tomorrow is the infamous "Black Monday" and coaches will begin to be fired. Obviously Jacksonville, Miami and KC have already pulled the triggers on canning coaches. Sounds like Norv in SD and Spagnoulo in St Louis will be canned tomorrow or Tuesday. Jeff Fisher is being rumored to be the new HC in St Louis.

In addition to those 4, I think Coughlin will be gone if the Giants lose tonight. Wouldnt surprise me if the Colts can Jim Caldwell and Raheem Morris might get run in Tampa after only a couple seasons.

Could you imagine Rob and Rex in the same division?

lol

Yeah I doubt it would happen, they arnt going to want to coach against each other like that. It'd be similar to when Wannstedt had a chance to take the Giants job, but Jimmy told him if he did that it'd basiclaly be the end of their friendship. So Wannstedt took the Bears job instead.

I am hoping. when they played each other the fans of both teams might never see any actual gameplay with all the camera time rob and rex get...

you will just have to guess what is going on by which ryan is fist pumping and fuck yeahing at the moment.

All our wishing on Ryan getting a job elsewhere next yr probably hinges on what happens tonight. If they have another defensive game like the last NYG game, Ryan wont be getting any phone calls. And even if we win, I still kinda doubt he gets alot of interest.

I don't think Ryan is even a candidate anywhere. No way he should be, after this year.

As an aside, I posted it in the Gameday thread... but Mudd said he was returning to the Eagles next year.

I assumed they'd move Castillo back to Oline coach, and hire a new DC. But if Mudd is returning, it's highly unlikely that Reid fires Mudd.

Instead, considering how the defense played better at years end, maybe Reid makes no changes to his staff at all.

Not going to happen. I'd feel alot better about this game had the Jets won and made the playoffs. No way are both New York teams going to be eliminated from the playoffs in the 10th anniversary of 9/11, just like no way was the league going to allow both New York teams to lose on the 10th anniversary to the day of 9/11, and in both cases the Cowboys were victimized. It started in New York---with a loss, and it will end in New York---with a loss.

But the Cowboys put themselves in this position.

Giants will probably check in with zero penalties tonight, just like the Jets did opening day

So if we lose tonight, it's because the NFL won't let two NY teams lose on the 10th anniversary season of that whole minor 9/11 thing?

No, its probably just because they've decided we need to lose to the team we are playing tonight, and it just happens to be the Giants who need to win to make the playoffs themselves

Sucks by the time Garrett either figures it out or is involved in this chatter that Dallas will have lost the best players currently on this team.

Rams informed Coach Steve Spagnuolo he's been fired. I expect them to pursue Jeff Fisher and at least reach out to Jon Gruden

As for Steve Spagnuolo, he will be a very hot defensive coordinator prospect and could end back in Philly, quickly #insideslant

Spags in Philly would piss me off. If we can't beat them with a shitty DCoordinator, how we going to beat them with an established guy?

It'll never happen, but I'd probably cream multiple times my pants if Garrett got rid of Ryan, hired Spagnoulo and we went back to the 4-3

I just don't get how people can be so eager to ditch Ryan.

We're what, 5 seasons into JG the OC and still have intermittent, middle-of-the-road results?

Outside of his 1st year, his offense hasn't exactly been a scoring machine.

Redzone problems, don't even get me started.

Bucs fire coach Raheem Morris

ESPN.com news services

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers fired coach Raheem Morris on Monday, the team announced.
General manager Mark Dominik will remain in his role, a source told ESPN.com's Pat Yasinsksas. Dominik is under contract for the next three seasons.
Dropping their season finale 45-24 to the Atlanta Falcons on Sunday, the Bucs closed the year with 10 straight losses -- the franchise's worst in-season stretch since the 1977 team lost its first 12 games.
2012 NFL draft order

The Colts will pick No. 1 overall in the 2012 draft. The 20 non-playoff teams know where they'll pick, aside from coin flips that will break ties for the Nos. 8 and 11 picks. Draft Order

"We want to thank Coach Morris for all his hard work and dedication as head coach of the Buccaneers," Buccaneers co-chairman Joel Glazer said in a statement.
Morris finished 17-31 in his three seasons with Tampa Bay.
As the NFL's second-youngest team, the Bucs (4-12) might have not handled last year's NFL lockout as well as an experienced club, but Tampa Bay still managed a 4-2 start that included an emotional 16-13 win over Atlanta. That Week 3 victory ended a five-game series losing streak that gave quarterback Josh Freeman his first win over the Falcons.
While Freeman completed a career-high 62.8 percent of his passes this year, he threw 22 interceptions just a year after throwing just six.
When Tampa Bay struggled badly in Morris' first season of 2009, the Bucs still had a reputation for playing hard despite their 1-12 start.
But they won 16 of their next 25 and seemed ready to challenge New Orleans and Atlanta for supremacy in the NFC South.
Everything began to unravel, however, after they beat the Saints 26-20 on Oct. 16. They lost their next 10 -- the franchise's worst stretch since the 2008-09 teams combined to drop 11 straight.
Sunday marked the seventh loss this season by 16 or more points.
Information from ESPN.com NFC South blogger Pat Yasinskas and The Associated Press was used in this report.
