true story.

I have my house sprayed quarterly for bugs. This morning the bug guy was here, nice guy. Saw my ticket and program on the kitchen table and said..."you go to the game, that romo sucks we wont anything until we get rid of him"

my response. Yea.

I just got done telling two of these guys that Romo was not the issue, then he throws 5 picks. This morning I had nothing. Just a GFY and have a nice day.

i can't believe I'm getting shit from raider fans.

Seriously. Wtf is wrong with this franchise? Besides the obvious. You'd think the talent could overcome most of the shortcomings in Jerry and Garrett.

Gawd it's worse today than last night.

Bad in the trenches and Bad coaching = talent killer

I am willing to concede that trading up for Claiborne was probably a mistake. I think Claiborne is going to be a great player. But this teams deficiencies in both trenches is astonishing. We could have filled two more holes in the trenches w those two picks, and we ended up filling zero.

This team has no chance until it can do two things consistently. Run the ball and pressure opposing passers. These two holes are so bad it is sickening. This defense will never be great without forcing turnovers and without creating chaos/havoc, that will never happen.

If we take an OG in the 1st, we still have a hole at CB.

Jason Garrett has no right at this point to be head coach and offensive coordinator. We need a guy in charge and a guy to fix is offense, he appears to be unable to do either individually yet he has both titles.

What's really sad is we brought in Callahan and Jimmy Robinson to be extra voices for Garrett to turn to. Either he isn't listening to them or they are just bad coaches.

Coaching, discipline and culture are obviously a big deal and something we don't have. We also over-estimate our talent level to a degree too. But exhibit A is Martellus Bennett. Lackadaisical and immature pos in Dallas and then in one offseason becomes a fairly disciplined contributor in NY.
The root of it all lies with Jerry. He's responsible for the personnel, for the HC, and for the culture that undermines the already weak HC and creates an environment with little to no discipline or accountability. Jerry is 99% of the problem.

I was just informed on twitter that it's not Jerry's fault. And Jerry has more SB's than Ted Thompson. So there.

Cowboys fans are the dumbest people in the world.

Jerry Jones vs Jimmy Johnson argument. Homers will say Jerry won a third one without Jimmy but that Superbowl roster was 80% Jimmy's players. 16 years later, 1 playoff win, and people still think Jerry isn't the problem. Amazing.

Jimmy won plenty of titles without Jerry so I agree.

Does anyone still think it was the right move trading up for Claiborne and sacrificing a second rounder. I'm not saying Claiborne wont be a star but the thought process is flawed where the team is filled with holes across the offense and defenseive line yet we need to add another star player.
The other part to the equation is that this GM has demonstrated over and over that he does not have the where with all to make the right decision when he makes these second round picks so these comments I guess are moot

Jerry already said that had we kept our 2nd rounder, he would have drafted that ILB that eventually went to the Seahawks. So why keep beating this?

He won a National Championship, establishing the credentials to be a Head Coach in the first place. What has Jerry ever done to show he should be a NFL GM?

Also, when Jimmy wasn't winning in Miami he removed himself from the situation. Jerry should follow that lead.

Parcells never won a Super Bowl without Mara.
Belichick hasn't won a title without Kraft.
Noll/Cowher/Tomlin can't win titles without Rooneys.

Owners win championships.

Won three super bowls as an NFL GM. That's all.

If you can't see that he had little or nothing to with those rosters with the possible exception of Deion Sanders for the 3rd one, then it is futile to continue debating with you. Your arguing with fiction as your supporting evidence.
