Garrett just told norm that ogletree is the three after the first 6 practices.

Said Holmes, Harris and coale are working there way in practice.

Note he said six practices in.

Hopefully ogletree is better than he has been.

More importantly than this foolish third wr debate is the fact that Jenkins has another check up in three weeks. So it looms like he won't play until a couple if weeks into the season.

Sine Claiborne is apparently red shirting this season for crying out loud, having no Jenkins until the season is not good.

I hope Mario butler and cj Wilson can play because they are going to.

Very sad. What has Ogletree done to ear and maintain his lock on the #3 WR? This is no different from what Wade used to do. I thought that there was going to be serious competition at all positions, because from all reports, it sounds like the #3 WR position is really unsettled, but players like Benford, Radawuy, and Beasely were making a strong case for it by having excellant camps. And what about Holmes? I hadn't heard one peep about Ogletree. He shouldn't even be on the roster.

Pretty much expected. He's got the experience we should at least be able to rely on him to line up correctly.

It's probably just Jason throwing a carrot out to the young guys. Keep them working hard.

We havent' even have a pre-season game yet, so I guess it makes sense that Ogletree - our most "seasoned" receiver not named Miles or Dez, would be the #3 guy right now.

Now... if we're 2 pre-season games in and Garrett says that again... I'll be disappointed. Unless Ogletree just balls out this pre-season, which I doubt.

He also said the preseason is really important for a lot of these players, which is nothing we didn't know.....but we could end up with a bunch of guys who are waived in other places here .

That first week in ny might be pretty rough.

Who was it, one of the local radio guys, who said Ogletree's brother got shot in the head in the offseason and that had really changed his personality and made him more serious and professional this year.

Sounds like typical BS, but whatever, maybe it's true.

I fail to see how Ogletree's brother becoming more serious after getting shot in the head has ANYTHING to do with our #3 receiver spot, but whatever.

I bet our #3 on opening day is currently a Redskin.

Look at who the Redskins have in camp:

Likely roster locks:

Pierre Garcon
Josh Morgan
Santana Moss
Leonard Hankerson

Players fighting for a spot:

Anthony Armstrong - From Carrolton TX. Had 44 receptions his rookie year. Only 7 last year for some reason.

Brandon Banks - Tiny and electric. 5'7" but runs a 2 second forty I think. Good return guy, could be a dangerous weapon. I don't think he's a true #3 option, but I think he makes the Redskins and pushes someone else off.

Dezmond Briscoe - We put in a waver claim on him, so there's interest obvious.

I think our scouts are looking at Jacksonville's overcrowded WR situation.

They have a few who we have previously shown interest in...Brian Robiskie, who my Hositile-like source says we are very high on (translation: someone I know who used to work for Cowboys), Taylor Price, and Cecil Shorts.

I remember us liking Brian robiskie a few years ago in the draft also. At least according to local writers.
