Well, it's not earth shattering, but he actually says some things that aren't cliche.

I may open it later. He talks the best game out there and preaches accountability, discipline, etc.

It's a different story once the ball is kicked off.

It was actually a decent interview. The guy is smart, and well spoken. When you see his interviews or PC's, I'm reminded why I liked him when we hired him.

But I can't get past how bad he is as an actual coach. I don't think thats going to change anytime soon.

We're very undisciplined and there is no accountability for poor play or excessive penalties. Clock management, not having an offense that can run on all cylinders, horribly coached defense - I don't care how many injuries we had, and poor special teams play are why we're stuck here again in the same place as last year. That all falls on coaching.

Good interview. Interesting to see him show a more human side. Maybe he realizes that he has to change the way he is doing some things.

That’s one thing i do feel good about is that Garrett is trying hard to make the Cowboys better. He just sucks at doing it. What baffles me is you would think with his personality that he would be a stickler for details, yet its the details that the team struggles most with.

Listened to the interview.....color me unimpressed. Nothing about improving the team, no sense of urgency, no nothing. The only thing I got was that he heard Jerry loud and clear about possibly bringing in "help" or making changes which is a flip flop from what he previously said. Confirms for me that he's nothing more than a puppet and the guy's got no balls.

I'm no Garrett apologist... but to be fair, he did say he and Jerry haven't had the end-of-season discussion yet. So I don't know if he will go along with Jerry or not. I do think though that he has about as little say with Jerry as any coach we've had since Campo left.
