It's early, but do you see any surprise cuts?

Any semi-prominent 2014 players (starters or steady role players) or promising young guys you don't see making the roster?

Nick Hayden is the obvious choice to me but all our young DTs are injured or malingering.

I think Terrell McClain is gonna get whacked, just cant stay healthy at all

Wouldn't be surprised if one of Heath/McCray is cut.

I think Rolando McClain will probably be cut if all the LB';s stay healthy, but probably not until after his suspension.

I don't see how they can go with Weems as the swing T unless he shows some improvement over next few weeks.

I forgot we resigned McCray. I've not even heard any reports on him.

McClain is a good one. He's lazy and doesn't fit the RKG profile in any capacity.

If you think about it, this team is pretty loaded at most positions and there's not many jobs available.

Also, been hearing mixed reviews on Weems. Polar opposite reviews too. Some reports are he's terrible while others say he's coming knot his own and impressive. So who the hell knows.

Ro McClain might be the only one I can think of. Not sure Terrell would be that big a surprise, would it?

This team is pretty set. It's amazing how that happens when you go 12-4 (or 13-3, or 11-5).

Agree about Weems. I think they will try very hard to keep Ro Mac. Kind of Hope Terrell McClain goes because would probably ensure that Gardner stays as a DT/DE hybrid.

Who would take Heath and McCrays spots? Ross and Jameill Showers?

Byron Jones and Corey White have position flexibility.

Plus, I would imagine there will be a good 15 or so safeties cut that are better than Heath and McCray.

That was my thoughts exactly.

He got beat pretty bad in the SD game by a couple of rookies and some scrub 3rd or 4th teamer. He also had a really awful holding call (awful in the sense that he just blatantly tackled the guy and it ruined a nice run play)

Granted as Broaddus noted, up till the SD game he had mainly played RT and had very little time at LT. But if he is to be counted on as the swing T he has to be able to hold up adequately at either spot. I thought the kid who played RT (John Wetzel) was far better than Weems vs SD

Steve seemed to indicate they think Weems is the new Parnell, so I doubt he goes, but he was pretty bad the other night. It would be scary to have him in there protecting our franchise QB, though.

Go rewatch the TD run. Weems had a great block. Kid is just inconsistent and his technique needs improvement but i think he has some ability.

To be fair, Broaddus does have a similar opinion as what you just stated.

Weems played a lot ve SD and he wasn't awful on every snap, but he did get owned bad a few times by a couple of rookies and a 3rd or 4th string guy I have never heard of. If he had to play RT we could probably get by, but if something happens to Tyron Smith Weems is going to be a train wreck at LT (if they chose to play him there)

Well it’s kind of what Nate Newton was saying too. I just don’t know who else could be the swing tackle? They don’t want to move Collins, yet.

Just guessing, but if he plays a lot more LT and struggles during preseason they might get someone from final cutdowns to be the swing guy.

Still don't know what Chaz Green's status is but it sounds like they don't 100% believe he is done for the yr yet. He could end up a factor there at some point.
