Romo is a very good QB. But when the games on the line you dont want him with the ball. In a important game youre not thinking just win this game with Romo, but Dont lose this game. I know this isnt the popular way of thinking but thats reality. Pad the stats whatever, but all that matters is the win. Bad coaching and bad choices is whats wrong with Romo.

The guy will pass for 4000 yrds get you 30 TDs and make plays that put you at awe. But theres better than a 50 percent chance that he'll lose a game with a bad choice, then win it with a good choice. Plan and simple.

Just remembered that Romo only had 10 picks last year. He has 8 so far, in 4 games. Yikes.

Lets not forget these NFL qbs are playing in a powder puff era of football. The only QB playing today thats won a superbowl when defs were actually able to play defense is Tom Brady. Shit even Peyton didnt win a SB until the following yr after the Patriots almost killed him and his WRs in the AFc playoff game. The following yr the NFL came out with these QB friendly rules, and Peyton was a SB winner.

Romo aswell as these other so-called "Elite" QBs in todays game are given an unfair advantage because of Rules. Shit nobody remember Drew Brees before NO? SD let him walk because he couldnt throw for shit against a defense that was able to hit a QB, same with Eli.

I know rules are rules and nothing is going to change that, but IMO that element is what gives the QB the mindset of i can throw it up and theres a 80% chance its caught or flagged. Now teams cant hit WRs until they make forward progress? Because he's helpless?

I know i got off topic which is Romo but todays game is a big reason we dont understand why Romo makes mistakes. Because most teams play to outscore the other team. But teams who focus defense and tread that line of being called for a defensive penalty can dictate and predict Romo. If you look at Romos INT the majority are him forcing in the middle or over throwing, under throwing crossing routes. Granted some should be caught but its a flaw of his. Teams that focus defense know to contain the outside and force Romo to the middle.

Tony is just a poor man's Farve / Cutler. He'll never win a championship as a starting QB.

such a dumb comment.

cutler has nothing on romo. better coaching but outside of that nothing.

and favre is incredible but he was also known to be as dumb as a box of rocks. Broaddus was talking about this the other day and said that he was so stupid that holmgren and reid never let him audible finally because he had no idea what he was doing.

Romo's weakness is what we saw late monday, he is just going to keep trying to make things happen and then it can get ugly.

If romo had a solid staff around him and a solid front office with a normal structure he would not be in these situations he has played most of his career in.

Cutler doesnt have better coaching, and if he did why is he so mistake prone? The only team he hasnt made any mistakes on this year is us.

Cutler does have a vastly stronger arm than Romo by the way, but I do think Romo is the far better player.

jay schraoder had a better bigger arm than joe montana.

cutler you would think shouldnt have better coaching seeing that a guy selling used cadillacs a few years ago is his coordinator, but what he has is a real head coach, a guy who is in charge and has the respect of the team..Lovie smith's defensive unit is one of the smartest groups in the league and thats a tribute to smith.

Romo has a history of making horrid decisions much like Favre and Cutler. A gunslinger / improviser who can look great one minute and then self-destruct the next.

Time won't be a problem if he's blessed with Staubach's genes, who played at an elite level right up to the ripe old age of 39. The problem is that he doesn't have a front office savvy enough to build a SB quality team around him.
