We would have taken ILB Bobby Wagner - per Jerry Jones.

Not exactly a ringing endorsement of Bruce Carter, now is it?

on the fan draft broadcast one of the guys I think it was armen williams talked to lee in the hallway and asked him a bunch of questions....One of the questions he asked was who is going to start next to you and he immediately said Dan Connor apparently....i think he pointed at him and said this guy....I guess they just got done lifting. when asked about carter lee said he was coming along.

ummm...

Nice knowing you carter? Hopefully he can help but that is not a good thing to have said about you.

Yeah, that's kind of frustrating.

I don't doubt Ryan finds a role for Carters athleticism. But I'm starting to have a bad feeling about that selection.

I can't imagine why they'd write off Carter yet. Maybe they just like Connor's veteran-ness.

I bet if nothing else, Carter has a big role in the nickel.

I don't believe that at all and I don't believe we would have selected Brockers. Jerry is a used car salesman. He wouldn't not mention those names unless he had some alterior motives. Motivate Carter as you said is where I would start

1) dont really believe it

2) even it were true, perhaps it says they had a really high grade on Wagner

3) there will definitely be a comp in training camp for the ILB job

I get a Jason Williams feeling with Carter. Williams never caught on in the NFL despite the warning signs (inexperienced FCS/Div II player).

Carter had his own concerns regarding his NFL prepardeness coming out too. So we shall see if he gets it. Don't want to write him off just yet, just the feeling I'm getting when I think of him.

Jason Williams was starting for Carolina before he hurt his knee last year and he played well to end the year before in 2010.

It seems that he might have just not fit in Dallas more than not being a NFL player.

I have to admit if Wagner really was the guy they wanted at 45 it does not say great things about what they think about Carter.

What concerns were those, other than the ACL?

Everyone was saying he'd have been a fairly early 1st rd pick w/o the knee injury
