Has Williams solved drops issue?

SAN ANTONIO – Shoulder pad drama aside, Roy Williams is having a pretty good training camp.
Williams dropped one pass during the first five practices, drawing the wrath of the Alamodome crowd. But he’s made several touch catches, such as when he used his 6-foot-3, 212-pound frame to shield Mike Jenkins on a slant route and snagged a pass thrown a bit behind him.
According to Stats, Inc., Williams dropped eight passes last season, tied for the 12th most in the league. He caught only 44.2 percent of the passes thrown to him, which ranked among the bottom 10 of receivers targeted at least 45 times.
Williams, who arrived at Valley Ranch with a reputation for having strong hands and the ability to catch the ball in traffic, vowed that drops would never again be a problem for him.
“We like the way Roy catches the football,” offensive coordinator Jason Garrett said. “He’d be the first to tell you that he dropped too many balls last year and didn’t make enough competitive catches. He’s clearly working on it. He’s attacking the ball a little bit more.”
