Garretts 3rd down call

How we barely score in the redzone, I can't blame garrett for making that call. Points are a premium, esp for this squad.

Not throwing the ball late in the 4th on third down and playing for the FG to make it 16-14?? was he scared of a turnover? or was he just that comfortable letting the up and down defense win the game? I felt he showed no confidence in the offense, and therefore had no back bone

thoughts?

It is what it is. If he calls a pass and its either a sack, an incompletion or a pick, everyone will say why not just play it safe and run, take the gimmee FG.

I didnt really agree with it, but it wasnt the worst thing I've ever seen.

It was conservative but i think he had faith in that the defense could make the stop. If you judge on the result, then it was the right call because they won.

BTW, the Cowboys got some favorable calls that could have been the difference.

We did, but we got major league hosed last week, and whereas this way a couple of the calls MIGHT have made a difference, last week those calls DID make a difference.

I think Claiborne got away with the contact late in the game, but they let the Panthers CB get away with alot of contact downfield on Bryant the series before. The timeout thing made some mad, but you could see the Cowboys were trying to call TO on the sideline. Then there's the horse collar play, which might not have been a horse collar but watching it live, it appeared to be one, especially from the angle the ref had who made the call. I dont like the rule as FYI and think its a b/s rule, but its in there.

I didn't watch the game. I was in Hot Springs, Ark. with my girlfriend. It was a lot more fun than watching a Chinese fire drill like everyone here did.
