Flozell Adams, speaking at Pittsburgh's training camp, made his first public comments on the Dallas Cowboys' decision to drop him after last season.

``I really don't know why the Cowboys got rid of me,'' Adams told reporters. ``It one of those things that happened. So I just had to go out to greener pastures. I'm glad I'm here."

Adams, 35, spent 12 seasons with the Cowboys, the last 11 as the starting left tackle. His performance declined last season. Adams alllowed eight sacks, only 2 1/2 fewer than the total of the league leader: Oakland's Mario Henderson. Cowboys coach Wade Phillips admitted last week the club could not use any running plays to the left side that called for Adams to pull because of his lack of mobility.

The Steelers have installed Adams as the starter at right tackle in place of the injured Willie Colon. Adams has never played right tackle.

Damn, Fraley is an idiot. Adams has played RT, albeit briefly in his rookie year.
