You guys have this illusion in your head that what you're doing is taking the perfect player at a non glamorous position earlier than one has gone in decades. You're so shrewd

You don't like anybody in this draft !

Who do you like other than Cocks?

I'll take decastro. But he's not this straight out of a lab bred to ball monster.

I like coples b/c hes physical, has long arms, and can muck up the pocket.

I like cordy Glenn. I watched him 5-6 times and he engulfs people. Much higher ceiling than decastro

After that I think there's a droppoff to brokers, Barron, Poe, Ingram, and possibly one if the corners.

Upshaw will suck

Not according to the people (dbair) who think Anthony Spencer is a top 3-4 OLB.

We can trade down and get Glenn

Did we bring Coples in for a visit? I don't think so-scratch him off

Poe didnt come in either-scratch him off..

I think our list looks like this

Cox-pray he falls, but he won't
Barron
DeCastro
Brockers

So there's talk of us trading up for Barron but not Fletcher cox? I don't buy that.

We haven't even been that gung-ho about going after safeties lately. Atogwe, landry, Landry, huff(although there was mutual interest) Rahim Moore, Nate Allen etc.

However they did go after Jj watt and cam Jordan last year. This year they'll go after fletcher cox.

I'd be ok with Glenn. I'd prefer him in a trade down scenario, but I wouldn't hate it at #14. In fact, I have a feeling that he may be the pick. Not sure if he has a higher ceiling than DeCastro. DeCastro is more a pure guard than Glenn, but Glenn can also play tackle, which I think ups his premium.

You didn't?

Nope, although after the way he ended the 2009 season it appeared he was headed in that direction. The last two seasons have been major disappointments and he's a big reason the defense has struggled. He just doesnt get the pass rush needed.

He did have a dominant 2nd half of the 2009 season. Other than that, he's been pretty average and its obvious if they are going to stick with the 3-4, an upgrade is needed.

The only reason I think tagging him this year was smart is because there was no obvious upgrade for him now available, whether it was free agency or the draft. Mario Williams would have been nice, but its obvious they were going to touch what Buffalo paid to get him, nor does it seem they were serious about changing schemes.
