Do you really want me to bitch slap you with all the mid round picks that did little to nothing their first year or two?
I think not.
Just post the ones we took, that should suffice.

I say we draft someone better in the 4th round than just a guy with "future potential"
Since when is a 4th round pick considered a immediate starter?
Didn't say any were. But not all should be "sit him on the shelf for a year or two until he maybe develops" either.
Right...a QB is the exception, but every other position should be able to contribute the same year they are drafted.
Are you serious...you are going with "says who"? Anyways...when a guy like Loper could come off the streets and be on the active gameday roster over Arkin, that is a concern. That is my thought on it, I am not condemning the guy, but it is a red flag for me.
What's going to be the excuse for Arkin this year?
Sooooo you thought that a 4th round Guard taken last year was just gonna be plug and play? It took Free 3 years to work into the line up for Christ sake.

Did you see the undrafted rookie FA's starting for us last year? Yeah, I'd have thought a 4th rounder would at least get some playing time over some undrafted or even 7th round scrubs.
But as for this year, if he doesn't contribute, then what will the excuse be?
I still contend he was a major reach, which is what I said a year ago.
No! Let's trade up for those who've reached their ceiling, like David DeCasterol.
How can anyone believe anyone taken in the 4th round is a major reach. After round 3, everything is a crap shoot to me.
Good thing you aren't drafting. Too bad though the ones that are tend to agree with you though.
To me, taking guys 2+ rounds higher than they should go is a considerable reach.
The excuse for Arkin, which is quite humorous actually, is that he was such a good talent that we needed to select him in the 4th to secure him, but he's just raw potential that needed a year or so to develop. Sorry, but these developmental projects should and could be had much later in the draft. There is actually a reason grades are given to prospects and there's a pecking order to the draft.
No way Arkin should've been taken in the 4th, and now it looks like he may not even make it to year two. Same type of dumb 4th round move like taking Brewster and Stanback and Green, etc. This team loves taking gambles in the 4th that should be reserved for the 7th.
"I think it's important that you try to make the right decisions for your football team on draft day," Jason Garrett said of the rookie class in October. "And then, once draft day is over I think the worst mistake that an organization can make is to say 'We drafted these guys, we're keeping these guys,' so you can say publicly, 'Look, we have eight draft picks on our team.' I think that's a bad decision.
"We try to create a competitive environment.
hindsight is always 20/20, but he was drafted where he was projected to go...everyone had him as a solid middle round pick
Hindsight? I said from the time he was picked he was a reach. Try again.
