Do we have the best 1, 2 punch at receiver in the NFL?

Here's a video BC31 posted in the Highlights thread...

Everyone acknowledges that Austin had a down year last year - mostly because of his hamstrings, and because he didn't come into camp in the best shape.

And everyone acknowledges that Dez needs to become a better route runner.

But watch those highlights.

We have two very big, very physical receivers who attack the ball in the air and are physical, can get YAC.

Watch the plays where Austin out muscles Cromartie for the ball, or Dez catches the ball with the defender right on top of him.

And I'm being an uber homer by thinking we have the best duo in the league?

No because miles can't be counted on.

I'll take Calvin and Titus young
Nicks and Cruz
Fitz and floyd
Wallace and brown
Julio and roddy
Greg Jennings and jordy

Those are the only two I think you can make a case.

I can't prop a rookie (Floyd in AZ) for example, on account of how most rookie receivers are 50/50 to make it at best.

And I can't prop Jordy Nelson because, well, if I had a son, he'd look like Jordy Nelson. obamaquote.jpg.

jordy nelson did more with his opportunities than any receiver in the league last season. I think he was the only receiver in the top 30 of yardage who had less than 100 targets, he ended up like 8th in yards. On some beast mode shit. I mean Dez was targeted 7 more times than Nelson but finished with 300 less yards and 6 less TDs.

Our doods are all potential. Miles may have already peaked. I'd put us somewhere below Dwayne Bowe and Jonathan Baldwin.

I can't support miles until he can catch a pass, stay on the field, or prove hes not Patrick crayon. What is he without his moneymaker romo? He only excels in YAC and most DB's struggle tackling anyone these days anyway

Calvin And Fitzgerald alone probably beat our Corp/core. And I think the texans drafted someone relatively high too to pair with Andre so they're up there too.

That's because corners not named Jason Sehorn line up opposite Jordy Nelson and are decide to only give half-effort.

It's not because Nelson is really talented.

He's what you call a "high motor" guy.

Did some combination of MB4, Cr122 and theebs' ipad write this for you?

Garbage time stats. Garçon can't catch either

Jordy is the real deal. So is my pet cat Antonio brown. I even Twittered him before the draft. :cowboyjoe
