My thoughts have nothing to do with the game itself. I walked into a bar about mid way through the fourth quarter. The point in the game were most of the guys on the field are going to be applying at TJ Maxx in 3 weeks. As I'm sitting there enjoying a nice whiskey, I notice a guy at the end of the bar. He is wearing a Cowboy hat and swearing and pounding with every scrub Dallas miscue. As the Fins approched the endzone late in the game, his ire increased. And when they scored the late touchdown he hurled his hat to ground and yelled 'Damn it! We'd better not lose this fucking game.' I says to him that it is just a pre-season game and doesn't matter. He growls that every Cowboy game matters. Our fans are idiots. If he was obese I'd swear Hostile had moved to Austin.

Positives: 1. RBs...Dunbar, Tanner, need to see more of Kendial Lawrence. Weird play calls for him at first. Lawrence is a swift water bug who can get to the outside, and he had some dive plays until the TD.
2. DL...loved the fire and the fun they were having. Seemed unleashed not uptight. (By the way, the offsides seemed to happen when the Dolphins cadence was "Go! Go!")
3. Running on 3rd and short. Ya get better at things that you are committed to repeat until successful.
4. Jakar Hamilton. Rangy and hits like a truck.
5. LB depth. They are all the same guy, except McSurdy who is not the same guy as the rest of them.
6. Armstrong. Must keep Armstrong. Put him in outside and Miles in the slot. Whooooosh.

Negatives:
1. Randle doesn't seem to have much of anything. More excited about the other 3.
2. The unmitigated longer routes that require the big massive Osh Kosh pocket in the middle are going to get the QBs hurt. Need to use the short pass more to freeze the rush and set up the longer pass.
3. Escobar. Just a great waste of tall.
4. Matt Johnson is not on the 53. Wilcox is not really ready for Prime Time.
5. Beasley. Just seemed to lose his mojo.
6. Were the CBs playing press? Need to see more coverage.

FYI,all the NBC games are shown at NBC.com.Haven't tried the mobile app,but the regular laptop/desktop version is great.
It's a few seconds behind the live game and tends to repeat the same ads but on the plus side it has multi camera angles and you get a chance to fuck with Michelle Tafoya and Mike Florio as they both live chat.
Florio ignores bullshit questions,but with a little thought you can still fuck with him.He's got a chromium ego and he's pretty stupid.
Don't get me wrong,watching NBC itself is better,but it's come in handy a couple times for me.

Fasano could have been Whitworth
Bennett could have been Kendall Langford or Jeremy Zuttah
Escobar could have been Jamie Collins, D.J. Swearinger, Dallas Thomas, Larry Warford, etc.

As an aside, does anyone think Jamie Collins might be one of those under the radar guys that just excels in NE?

Rasario and Hannah will probably both see more playing time than him this year.

But next year... he'll probably start to stand out.

This year is kind of a waste for him, really.
