I did get to Hilton Head in time to watch the game, and there were quite a few Cowboy fans here to watch the game with at the bar outside.

As I said all week, i was really expecting the worst based on what we saw the previous three games. I was reasonably sure we'd get blown out by 2 or 3 TD's. Much to my surprise, the team far exceeded my expectations. The OL played its best game of the year by far.

That said, yesterdays game was the poorest officated game I have seen in years. It was absolutely pathetic and definitely cost us the game. Other than a few plays, we VASTLY outplayed the Ravens. Yet there was Mike Carey's shitass clown crew, doing what they always do when they officiate one of our games. Blowing call after call, making up phantom shit left and right and doing everything in their power to insure Baltimore won the game. In spite of them, we still could have won. Had this game been fairly officiated I think we'd have won by two or three touchdowns.

1) Shocker of the day had to be the running game, which was absolutely putrid the last three games. The blocking was really solid. Pass protection also seemed really sound. Phil Costa did seem to play pretty well, but all 5 as a group looked good for a change.

2) Great games by all the RB's. Made good cuts, ran hard and took advantage of all the surprisingly good blocking.

3) Romo had the one bad pick, but had a solid game all around. I would like to see them take more chances downfied though and stretch the defense a little more.

4) I'm sure some will complain about bryant's "drop" on the 2pt conversion, but he did get interfered with and I am reasonably sure that had that same play happened to any other teams WR's, it would have been called and not ignored.

5) On the refs, I just dont see how Garrett and Jones can watch this garbage and not complain. Some of those calls were absolutely mind boggling. The refs basically gave Baltimore two tds and the PI call on Claiborne had to be one of the worst calls ever. The same ref that made that call is also the one who ruled Felix Jones out of bounds on that early TD run (which was challenged and overturned thankfully). Chop blocks that werent there, phantom holding calls, bogus PI call (should have been one of the easier offensive PI calls ever to make).

6) Sux they couldnt get lined up right to try another play (or maybe even two) after they got down close to FG range on last drive. I think 5 yds closer and Bailey would have probably made it.

7) How does Joe DeCamillis keep his job? 108 yd TD return is just inexcusable and other than the refs, that cost us the game more than anything yesterday.

8) Defense played ok, but they still have almost no pass rush and still cant cause a turnover to save their life. Jenkins had a chance for one pick but otherwise, nobody really came close. (as usual)

I'm pleasantly surprised at how they played and it gives me some hope again that maybe they can get some of their shit together and still make a run for the division title. Then again it'd be just like them to come out next week and fall on their face against a poor Carolina team.

Blaming the refs is exactly what Jerry and Garrett want Cowboys fans to do. Ignore the real problems with this team.

bryant interfered with on the 2 pt conversion?

hahahaaha - good one

He wasnt but even if he was the ball hit him right in the hands and he dropped it.

Just another mistake in a long line of them.

Let's face it. This team has 3wins in 10 games two against Tampa bay.

The giants are going to rip our hearts out and show it to us in two weeks And personally I think we lose to the panthers coming off a bye. No way I see this team give the same effort two weeks in a row on the road against a bad team.

I don’t usually blame the refs, but the timing of all the penalties (inside the redzone, 3rd downs) made me feel the fix was on or maybe these refs were offended by Jerry’s comments during the lockout. This crew was one of my favorites, they always called a balanced game for the boys. Calls were ticky tacky or just flat out made up.

This was one game where it thought the defense was terrible. Romo, Garrett and Bryant will all get a heavy does of blame, but honestly, they did their job and scored enough points to win. I lay this one on Ryan and defense. They didn’t do their job.

3) David blaming the refs for our deficiencies.

Yes, the chop block call was hideous, but it didn't cost us the game. And I'm not sure why people keep complaining about the PI on Claiborne. Even if they don't throw the flag, Smith still has a TD reception.

The refs were bad, but it didn't cost us the game.

I found it comical when mike Carey didn't get the ball spotted, that was a riot. Every but as bad as the replacements.

Kenyon Coleman was injured on an actual chop block in Seattle with no flag. That call yesterday was equally as bad the other way.

But this team just isn't good.

That hands to the face call that gave them a TD was another atrocious one. You get hands on the facemask sometimes, if it's released immediately (it was) there's no call. Instead they get a new set of downs once we already stopped them.

It was the RIGHT call but on the WRONG player. Smith should have been called for offensive pass interference.

Bryan and Mickey are explaining that on that play after the onsides the ravens blitzed 7 guys, the slant was a perfect call and if DEz breaks the tackle he runs to about the 10 and we win the game.

Dez didn't break the tackle and the other routes were too deep and Garrett was afraid of a mistake so he just chose to kick.

Figures, DEz breaks the first tackle all the time. Just the way it goes for us he didn't on that play or we have a win and probably ended Lewis career.

Btw, tanner running right into Lewis is what injured him. It was great when tanner stood there and yelled at him....

Loved that swagger. Lewis was crowing after lighting up Dunbar and Tanner buried him and let him know all about it.

The more I think about yesterday's game the more optimistic I am. I still at least really like all the players on this team, they fought their guts out man.

They have been playing hard, we are just not that good and the guys on the sideline are terrible.

The refs are far down the list of reasons we lost.

How many points did they get off ref mistakes? How many points did the refs cost us?

When you put up numbers as dominating as what we did there is more to the result than just "oh we didn't make the plays to win the game". That was the worst officiated game I've seen all year. If Garrett had been Bellichick he'd have assaulted Mike Carey after the game.

This.

Fact is though, there are going to be bad calls. This team is obviously not good enough to overcome them.

Just like Dana White tells the guys in the UFC, "Never leave it in the hands of the judges".

Hey we came the whole way back and were incredibly close, one play here or there and we won. In that instance, I think you can say we were good enough, we just couldn't overcome the sheer volume of bad calls.
