The media is deep in innuendo and conjecture regarding this Rich Dalrymple thing, but one area that lacks curiosity is if the league was informed by the Cowboys of this incident when it happened. Did the Cowboys keep the league abreast of what they were doing? Perhaps this is why the league has no interest in investigating?

But the insinuation that there are more horrible stories out there without any context is exactly what is wrong with the media in America. "I am hearing..." is not journalism. It is gossip.

Also, this incident which involves 1 Cowboys exec is not probable cause to launch an all out investigation of Jerry Jones and the Dallas Cowboys. This kind of thinking would make Stalin happy. The fact is, the cheerleaders complained. The Cowboys investigated. They made an offer to settle with the cheerleaders and the cheerleaders and their lawyers agreed to the settlement, which included an NDA. NDAs are not uncommon and the purpose is to protect the organization and those who filed the complaint from reputational risk. It prevents the cheerleaders involved and the Dallas Cowboys, including Jerry Jones, from disclosing details about the incident. If Jerry reveals any details covered by the NDA then he essentially negates the NDA.

The media uses conjecture to sensationalize the story and force more details out of either side.
