If he can play safety like he can shred a guitar, then we might just be superbowl bound.

Age:28
2007 5th round pick

He actually just looks like he bounced around. Spent most of his time with Vikings.

Drafted by Raiders but didn't make it to Opening Day. Lions had him for a month. The Vikings signed him and kept him til roster cutdown day this year.

78 career tackles - 0 career interceptions (yikes) - 0 career starts

Your Bulldogs are looking good.

Really tough to say with the cupcake schedule...they should roll Tennessee Saturday night...SC and Fla are decent challenges, although I suspect they'll win both of those too.

I still dont see how they can beat Alabama, not sure they'd beat LSU either

How signing S Eric Frampton helps Cowboys
By Rainer Sabin / Reporter

Before the Cowboys defeated Tampa Bay 16-10 last Sunday, the ranks were thinning at safety. Starter Gerald Sensabaugh had been listed as inactive for the game, prompting the Cowboys to occasionally use cornerback Brandon Carr to fill his spot.

Yet just as the Cowboys patched one hole, another opened in the third quarter when Barry Church tore his right Achilles tendon.

With Sensabaugh’s status unclear for the Cowboys’ next game against Chicago and Church placed on the injured reserve list for the remainder of the season after undergoing surgery Tuesday, management began seeking reinforcements at the position immediately. And after working out five veteran defensive backs Tuesday, the Cowboys signed Eric Frampton to fill Church’s roster spot.

Frampton, 28, won the job over Antwaun Molden, Don Carey, Aaron Rouse and Tyrone Culver.

“Obviously, you would like a guy who is game-ready to play and knows our system that can play quickly and contribute quickly,” head coach Jason Garrett said Monday before any move was made. “But you’d also like a guy who is young and who can contribute on specials teams when the starter comes back.”

Frampton, who was cut by Minnesota last month, seemed to meet Garrett’s criteria, particularly because of his sterling performance on special teams. Over the previous five seasons he led Minnesota’s coverage units with 85 tackles.

Frampton could conceivably assume the responsibilities of safety Danny McCray, the Cowboys’ special teams captain who has taken on more defensive duties in wake of the injuries to Sensabaugh and Church.

At the very least, Frampton gives the Cowboys more options as they try to manage the situation at safety.

So far, the Cowboys have already shown some flexibility by positioning Carr there.

“Brandon’s an all-purpose player,” McCray said.

But Garrett would prefer to keep him at his natural position – cornerback.

“That’s what we feel like he’s best at,” Garrett said. “But to be able to do that with a guy to absorb an injury, that’s a good thing to have in your hip pocket going forward.”

So is one more safety.
