The fact that the team gave every ounce of effort it had to give Johnson a chance to play..proves more than anything else in this thread

And you have absolutely no way to speculate that "I'm sure he will be fine" outside of you hoping and praying he will.

Just because you really really really hope last year was an anomaly doesn't make it so.

So u are of the opinion that he will never be healthy enough to ever play?

Brilliant, I wonder how he played all those games in high school and college?

Our brilliant coaching staff and scouting staffs are so incredibly dominate that it was damn well worth keeping Matt fucking Johnson on the active roster almost all year with the hopes that he would finally get his twat better and come swooping in to save the day.

Yes it was, we needed safeties and they were trying to get his hamstring better.

It didn't hurt us at all to wait him out. They liked what they saw in practice and we were absolutely desperate at safety. We needed help to get McCray off st and safety.

It's not hard to figure out.

I didn't say that. Reading is for winners.

I said it's impossible to speculate the opposite, but in that same vein it's impossible to speculate that he will never be healthy enough to play. I'm just saying if history is any indication you have to lean towards injury prone.

And, no, it wasn't just one injury that kept nagging. He has hamstring issues in both legs. Left leg in TC and the first part of the season and then about October messed up his right hamstring.

I don't mind that we kept him, because it's not like his roster spot meant anything last year anyway. But how much did he even practice to judge him?

Very little IIRC. I think they just kept him because he was a draft pick they liked. Which again is fine. I just don't know how much he could've been lighting it up in practice when he barely was able to suit up.

Eh, even if he does become fully healthy, he might be another Pat Watkins. Decent enough to get a paycheck for a few years, but not really any good.

How is he injury proned? It was one unfortunate injury from a guy they were hurrying to get ready, who missed the ota's.

It was two injuries. One to each leg. In one year. While barely practicing.

It was because they liked him and his position. We could have used pat Watkins last year, good special teamer. they just didn't have the numbers at that spot last year and they were getting less out of McCray on st because of all the snaps he was playing.

Broaddus said all year, they liked Johnson and Hannah. I guess hannah was really good in practice and so was Johnson when he did practice.

According to broaddus he did a decent amount of practicing... Specifically before the 1st eagles game..they had planned to get him on the field for that week..broaddus also said he liked what he saw..who knows

Yes when u have a weakness your trying to get better like in one hamstring and u push yourself too hard too soon u can get the second hamstring injury.

It happens, he just was behind the 8 ball from day 1 because of school and never caught up. It happens.

If what Theebs says that Broaddus says is true... why did we like Hannah all year and only start getting him involved late in the season?

When?

I thought broaddus talked about how he started more games than anyone at eastern Washington during his time, like 40 games or whatever.

I looked it up he started every game 08-10 and in 11 had a bicep surgery after an injury and went to ir in week 4 apparently.

Hannah was a constant topic of broaddus all year. Apparently he was great all year in practice and orton loved throwing to him. I have noidea what his holdup was.

Is that what caused the back injury, too?

I don't know, once u have a weakness from an injury it can cause other problems when u are trying to fight through it, which is apparently his m.o.

He played with a serious bicep injury in 11 before having to have surgery so that tells me he is a hard worker who will pay hurt.
