I don't know much about this guy

Some kid from Baylor who transferred last season and is now in the supplemental draft.

Good size and speed

6'4" 225 w 4.3 speed

Reports saying he won't last past the 3rd round in the supplemental draft bc an NFC east team will take him. Skins also interested. Maybe Philly too.

That's about all I know

He's the WR, right? The one people are speculating would draw the most attention?

I just can't see us having serious interest, considering all our young guys already on the roster.

He would be a good addition. RG3 made a lot of that team look good but I think this kid could be a solid #3 right out of the gate.

I can't see us or the Giants having interest.

But the Redskins and Eagles could, fo sho. Both need a big receiver.

Is this speculation coming from broaddus? He told David smoak the other day that he would take him in the third round

I don't think the team has any actual interest or at least said they do

No, someone on twitter (forget who off the top of my head) named a few teams that were supposedly interested and Dallas was one of the teams

Yeah, I heard that interview. He said there wouldn't be a player of Gordon's quality in next year's third round, so this is the chance to get him somewhat "cheap." Something to ponder.

To be fair, though, we get connected to a bunch of players every year that we have no actual interest in. We get put out there as having interest by the agents of the players, so as to build up their player. Even though we have sucked for a long time, we do bring a limelight to anything associated with the Cowboys name.

Yea not sure who that guy is but I wouldn't be surprised if he fits the size we like.

It would be real monkey wrench in the summer though, it's going to be hard to get all these young guys reps as it is.

There aren't many guys that are legit #3 WRs on our roster. Holmes, Coale - is that it? Harris probably isn't legit. I would take this guy Gordon

Very good point Theebs. We definitely like our WRs to be bigger...I think our interest in this kid is real

I think Holmes is the three and I dont think it is a competition.

I don't know if that is bad or good, just get the feeling the 3 has been settled.

I think Harris return duties make him the 4 or 5 so now we have maybe two spots for 4 guys to fight for. Adding another would be really turning it into a clusterfuck.

So it should be interesting.

Gordon would be a much better 3 than Holmes, IMO.

Right now though? Seems he would be nowhere near ready to play in the NFL today. Then u have to get him to the practice squad or just lose a roster spot for a year.

I think they have spent an entire year getting Holmes ready to play this year and will be given the job from day one. I don't think any of the other guys will be able to beat him out this summer either.

Holmes and claibourne are going to be the stories we get beaten over the head with til the season starts. Last year it was Lonyae miller and Namdi.......

I'm not sure Gordon would be ready this year..but that doesn't matter too much. If the team thinks he's a talented player and can be had cheaper than his talents warrant bc he's in the supplemental draft then they should do it.

Plus, you get a free year to train the guy. We don't have to sacrifice a pick until next year but we can begin developing him immediately

With that said-some scouts view this kid as a 2nd round talent. I guess there's no reason why he shouldn't be ready this year

That's just it. I think he will be ready before Holmes is. He has a good skill set. It was a bit exacerbated by playing with RG3, but I think he has a lot of natural talent that will develop faster than Holmes will.

There are some that say he is a better prospect than Kendall Wright who was of course drafted in the first round.
