I guess I have no issue with that. I guess that means they carry 6 WRs then? Dez, Miles, Ogletree, Harris, Beasley and Holmes.

probably means Coale has his spot locked up, and Holmes' locker is being cleaned out as we speak

The trades Jerry doesn't make are almost as horrific as the trades he actually makes.

Umm, goodbye Felix.

really doubt he's getting traded...I think it would have taken a really awesome camp by Tanner to get them to consider moving Jones, and Tanner 1) wasnt healthy and 2) when he finally did play last week looked ordinary

Not sure what purpose Felix serves here. The lions are desperate right now. Get a 3rd for him. Or maybe they have a prospect olineman?

Maybe they'll give us back Stephen Peterman?

Also how were they able to put Nagy on the IR and we couldn't? Not that I want fucking Nagy back.

Not sure, unless it was because they waited till the initial cutdowns...definitely some screwy rules with some of this stuff

Phil Costa only offensive starter in lineup tonight

August, 29, 2012

By Todd Archer | ESPNDallas.com

ARLINGTON, Texas – Phil Costa will start at center tonight vs. Miami and is the only projected starter playing in the preseason finale at Cowboys Stadium.

Costa missed the first three preseason games because of a low back strain and just returned to practice Monday.

Stephen McGee will start at quarterback with Phillip Tanner and Shaun Chapas in the backfield. Kevin Ogletree and Dwayne Harris will start at wide receiver, with James Hanna at tight end. The rest of the line includes Jermey Parnell, Derrick Dockery, Daniel Loper and Pat McQuistan.

On defense, Josh Brent will be the starting nose tackle and could open the year there against the New York Giants if Jay Ratliff is unable to play because of a high ankle sprain. Tyrone Crawford and Clifton Geathers will fill out the rest of the defensive line.

The linebackers will be Victor Butler, Dan Connor, Orie Lemon and Alex Albright. The secondary will feature Akwasi Owusu-Ansah and Teddy Williams at cornerback and Mana Silva and Mario Butler at safety.

Costa is right where he should be. Playing with guys all fighting for roster spots.

Also, I guess this means Bruce Carter is starting ?

Pretty sure that means BC is opening night starter, which is what I expected all along.

Remember back in 1994 when the Skins took Heath Shuler in the top-5, and later took Gus Frerotte (6th or 7th rd I think) and Frerotte turned out to be eons better than Shuler?

Fast forward to 2012. Kirk Cousins may end up repeating history for them.

Kinda interesting that Spears isnt starting tonight. He's been the top backup DE and he's apparently not playing at all.

Might mean they are just trying to play Geathers enough to see if he can justify keeping him(so far IMO this preseason he hasnt earned a spot) or it could mean he's being held out because they are going to trade him.
