This is good to see, but honestly I don't think this is going to stick. The case was assigned to a Biden appointed judge (of course) so I think it will either get dismissed or if convicted Comey will get a slap on the wrist.
But if I were Comey, I would claim both selective prosecution and political retribution. A Biden judge will be sympathetic. Why? Because in the last 15 years or more so many officials have lied to congress and gotten away with it one wonders why Comey and why now? Did Trump's tweet about Pam Bondi have anything to do with it?
Go back to the hearings on fast and furious. The Attorney General of the United States, Eric Holder lied to congress when he claimed the illegal program began under George W Bush. It didn't. Multiple IRS officials including Lois Lerner lied to congress about the IRS investigations of Tea Party groups. Who can forget the 8 people who claimed their hard drives failed when asked to turn over communications to congress 8 hard drives failed in 1 department in a period of a few months? Impossible.
More recently, Cassidy Hutchinson lied to the J6 committee, probably at the behest of Liz Cheney. Where are the indictments?
The point is everyone not a Republican has lied to congress and gotten away with it. Fauci, the head of the CDC, Christopher Wray, John Brennan, Jams Clapper, Samantha Power, Susan Rice, Hillary Clinton, Huma Abedeen, and so many others have lied before congress, the FBI, and even judges, and none have been punished.
It is good to make lying under oath a crime for Democrats again, but I only see one indictment. When I see 30 or 40 my faith in government might be restored a little.

If he gets off, it will only be because of corruption with Dem judges.
He's guilty as sin, he lied repeatedly and it's all on audio & video. He's also going to have a number of people who worked in the FBI testify against him, including people that were right under him.

Of course he lied repeatedly. But that's my point. He is charged with one count of lying to congress. One!
But Brennan lied to congress after having his CIA spy on senate staff for Obama. How did Brennan escape prison - for spying and lying?
Hillary lied when she testified she turned over all government emails, and did not send classified info using her email server. She lied about why she used her own server. No charges and Comey even admitted "statutes were probably violated".
Human Abedeen told the FBI and congress she turned over all emails to investigators. Months later they found hundreds of thousands of email on Anthony Weiner's laptop, including classified emails when Weiner had no security clearance.
Multiple people lied about the Russia collusion investigation including Robert Mueller. The only people sentenced for lying about that investigation were Trump people, like George Papadopoulos.
Samantha Power lied to congress about requesting the unmasking of American's names in intelligence reports. There were over 260 requests with her name on them. She claimed she didn't issue those requests. But multiple officials testified that when a request was made the unmasked names was returned only to the person who made the request. If she didn't make the unmasking requests then what did she think when these reports were all sent to her with the names unmasked? And who did make the unmasking requests? This was a material lie to cover up what appeared to be a significant conspiracy to investigate Trump and his team under the auspices of the Russia collusion hoax - which the FBI knew was not real early on.
I could provide dozens more examples of lies told before congress and that's before I get to the COVID testimonies from Fauci and other Biden officials.
Remember, the Trump case about documents was dismissed largely because the judge saw through the selective prosecution of Trump. This case against Comey looks just like that one.
Again, I think they should all be prosecuted because lying under oath has to be treated as a serious crime or we will never have the transparency a true free people deserve.
