Back in the late 80s I DJ'd a couple of wedding receptions and got some good laughs,and when I did radio play by play for high school football,I got a lot of good feedback about some remark or another I'd made.But when I was thinking about doing an open mic or something,I realized I couldn't write a 5 or 10 minute routine to save my fat ass.

You can go to the Comedy Store in LA on like Monday or Tuesday nights and they'll let you do two minutes. Or at least they used to do that, I haven't checked lately.

Just about a who's who of comedy performed at that joint.

Naturally,I can't speak about the standup,but in both cases I posted about I thought I was going to puke when the mic went live.

But after I started getting into it,it was the most fun I ever had with my clothes on.
