The Times has learned former Fair Park and LSU star Morris Claiborne has signed his rookie contract with Dallas -- a four-year, $16.26 million fully guaranteed pact with a club option for a fifth year.

Claiborne, the sixth overall pick, will report to Valley Ranch for training camp beginning Wednesday.
The contract includes no offset language.

The 5-foot-11, 188-pound cornerback and reigning Jim Thorpe Award winner (best college defensive back) left LSU after his junior season.

Nice, so we get him really cheap for 5 years.

And the closest to a resident cap expert that we have is Hoofbite.

As a fan you don't need to worry about the salary cap.

It is a tool that can be manipulated in countless ways to the point of being virtually inconsequential from our perspective.

That said, according to my calculations, we have fourteen dollars and seventy six cents left under the 2012 cap.
