I have no idea what position he'll ultimately be lining up as a rookie. Thus far this offseason he's lined up at both outside corner spots, in the slot, as a single high FS and on the last day of OTA they had him lined up down in the box as a LB.

Apparently he's been very cognizant wherever he's been put.

I'd bet dollars to donuts that he'll be lining up at S a lot during the regular season when Dallas goes into their nickel sets. I don't think they'd want to take Church off the field and instead we'll be seeing Wilcox pulled off the field a lot during those scenarios.

Agreed. I think Byron will have a lot of chances at FS, but I have yet to see him as a strong tackler, with good angles, fundamentals or instinctive punishment. Church is not gifted but he doesn't make many mistakes and makes sure tackles. Milkbone Wilcox operates in real time, arriving at most plays as they happen and offering his reaction. He does not seem to have a proactive gene in that feral body of his but he seems to be a part of most plays as they happen. I think Wilcox could be used all over the defense and special teams with very simple instructions and huge success. But back to Byron, if he is not much of a physical or sure tackler than he should probably keep to the CB side of things.

I'm gonna say he's our starting FS by the time the year is up but he'll see a lot of action at cb too. I just feel the immediate impact is at FS assuming Scandrick, Carr, and Claiborne are still on the roster.
