When has the team been good enough to make a deep run?

The 13-3 year, yeah, but what happened that day against Giants? Nobody pass blocked, and Crayton shat the bed twice late. Romo made those throws.

Its so easy to say, "hey, 1-6 buddy.", but can you honestly say that Romo was at his worst in every one if those games? Or has the team come up short and he was part of that?

I'm as sick of the SOS, but its the whole fucking package, not just one guy that can't get it done. Fix the shortcomings, nobody is asking for probowlers at every position, but competence would be great.

Right as always.

Everyone wants it to be the story of this amazing player who herped when he shoulda derped.

You can be upset with the results, because he didn't play well. But to dump him for someone else who probably won't be a top 10 qb isn't going to help matters.

He'll the redskins used 3 1st round picks on mcnabb and he wins a game completing 9 passes. Where would we be if we burned those assets and downgrades to griffen?

Romo has real clear shortcomings. But don't act like you can't win with him. Get a roster with someone who Can make a play or stay on the field. If a better option comes along at qb go for it but don't play dumb.

Romo is going to be 33 wqith 8 years under his belt before the start of next season. The body of work is there and his track record is proven.

Romo will give you bells and whistles and the big INT when it counts.

They said the same thing about Elway, buddy.

Just be patient.

Maybe Romo is just that good looking, charming, sophisticated, compassionate man who has a good career and is a great listener.

You bitches want to love him so much.

But the fact of the matter is he also has erectile disfuction.

So yeah he's got a great sense of humor and he even opens doors for you...

Still can't get his dick hard and you're sitting there at the end of the night (year) with your pussy wet frustrated as all get out.

lol

Yeah, it sucks.

This just isn't fun anymore. These next 8 months are going to be welcomed. If next season is like this one is, I doubt I watch more than 3 games.

You were pointing out that Jerry has learned his lessons on QBs because he drafted a running QB in the 4th round.

Great point, Rowdy.

I overestimated your intel I guess.

I still respect you though amigo

He was a 4th rd pick. He was drafted where he was expected to go. Had some talent to work with and good size, arm strength and mobility. He just didnt pan out.

But he wasnt a baseball player moonlighting as a QB.

Are you fucking serious? He was Brad Johnson 2.0. Mr. Checkdown.

Before labeling Romo a "coach killer"... how about we get a competant coach in first, so that assessment can be accurately be determined?

Garrett has a competant QB, and we've seen what he's done. Romo deserves the same consideration.

If anything, Romo saved Garrett's job the second half of the season.

Coach saver.

McGee was about as useful at scanning the field as Mr. Magoo would be at proofreading cr122's posts.

How come no one is calling for the Chargers to get rid of Rivers? Is Rivers a "coach killer"?

If you can tell me who can come in and be better than Romo actually is under our current circumstances, then maybe I would consider it. Until then..really? If we're going to rebuild then we need to trade Witten and Ware because they won't be around when the rebuilding job is ready to compete.

Let's get rid of Romo and then hope our incompetent GM can put together a really good roster this time. He's only done it never.

I guess my response to this would be Ware and Witten dont do things to single handedly blow big games, the way Romo has repeatedly now.

Further, even though I feel Romo has peaked, he still has significant trade value and the team can clearly use what we'd get in return to reload/retool other positions. Personally I dont think the drop off from Romo to Orton at this point is that severe, especially if they fortify the OL a little more. There'd be a drop off, no question. But for all the good Romo does, he has the one flaw I dont think will ever be corrected or be coached out of. Thats why I think it might be time to move on from him.
