His form of cancer likes and thrives on estrogen... Almost unsurprising Joe's system has tons of it. Although the cancer has spread to his bones an estrogen antagonist such as Anastrozole (exactly what they give to breast cancer patients) will at first inhibit this and then after radiation and possibly surgery, finally starves it out. And keeps it from coming back.

Reverse your transition, Joe. Science is a bitch.

It is hard not to imagine the timing of this announcement is suspect. Of course there is so much we do not know. We do not know when is the last time Biden had a prostate exam? When was his last PSA test and what did it show? If it was diagnosed a while ago then why did they not treat it to prevent it from spreading?

So many questions. But at the same time, medical guidance on PSA testing is it is not recommended after age 69. Once you reach 70 your doctor will not perform a PSA test as a regular procedure. Apparently the rule of thumb is if your life expectancy is only 10-15 years there is no point in getting a PSA test. The concern is over diagnosis and false positives leading to complicated biopsies and treatment that are not well tolerated in older men.

So at 82, it is possible Biden has not had a PSA test for years. Still, was he not experiencing symptoms, like having trouble urinating?

The problem is the Bidens covered up his mental decline, so now people do not trust them when they announce he has cancer.

Biden is 82. He is already 4 years beyond the life expectancy for an American male. These is no karma here. It is the natural cycle of life. Biden's time is coming to an end, the same end we will all face. No karma, just inevitability.

We used to joke about "John Gill Biden" but now, eerily, it seems to have been all too true. Only question left is, who played Melakon.

This bumbling idiot let it slip out more than two years ago that he has cancer. Was written off as a "gaffe."

The Karma comment wasn't directed at Biden

Dr. Drew SNAPS on Jill Biden, Goes Ballistic on Cover Up of Joe's Terminal Cancer: 'They KNEW...'

Dr. Drew touched on 1 point that both surprised me and had me nodding my head in agreement. When referring to the report that his doctor "felt a nodule" he said,, "the don't do digital rectal exams much anymore", and that there must be a reason they decided to do that.

First, I didn't realize they don't do digital rectal exams much. I had one a few years ago. It is unpleasant but the urologist did it as a regular checkup procedure. Dr. Drew said they usually rely on the PSA test which I thought was relatively unreliable, which is why they don't recommend them for men over 69 anymore. I would be happy to forego the DRE in favor of something less intrusive, but not the biopsy procedure which sounds horrible.

But the other point is why did Biden have a DRE in the first place? He must have been having symptoms of some sort. Symptoms like trouble urinating are not necessarily a sign of cancer, but if he complained to a doctor for sure they would have checked him out. Probably a DRE and a CAT scan or MRI at least to check the size and shape of the prostate. The White House announced last night that Biden had not had a PSA test since 2014. He was 72 at the time. Again, if he had any symptoms he reported to his doctor, I am pretty sure they would have at least done this test at some point.

Also, Scott Adams, the cartoonist who did the Dilbert comic strip for years, announced on X that he is dying of prostate cancer that metastasized to his bones and he said it is very painful.

Here is a link to an article on the subject of the recommendation for DREs to find prostate cancer. In the article there is a statement that a DRE finds only about 28% of cancers in men. That is astonishingly low.

From my experience the DRE is uncomfortable, and if it is also inaccurate then why bother. I undergo annual cystoscopies for bladder cancer screening which is very uncomfortable but physically and emotionally, but it is nearly 100% accurate in finding bladder cancer and other tumors. If it was 28% accurate I would pass on it, at least annually.

The DRE is really only useful to diagnose BPH or Prostatitis. The PSA test can be misleading too. I registered a 6 in 2020 and had to have a biopsy. It's unpleasant but I'd take it over a cystoscopy. Objects inserted into the urethra is barbaric. Why do you have it done annually? Do you go under (anesthesia)?

I had bladder cancer a few years back. After the tumor was removed (under anesthesia), I had to have a cystoscopy every 3 months for a year, then 6 months for a year, and then annually for the rest of my life or until I decide I don't care anymore. LOL. There is no anesthesia for a normal cystoscopy. They only put me under if they have to remove tissue. The procedure only takes a minute or two and thankfully I have been clear of any abnormal tissue growth since the initial tumor was removed. At this point I think I have had 16 or 17 cystoscopies. I have learned that giving up one's dignity is a necessary step in survival once you get older.

Last year I had to have one to remove a kidney stone that was blocking one of my ureters. I was under for that. It didn't work so I had to have a second one.

I don't know that it is barbaric, although it seems unnatural. Dentistry is barbaric!

I’m glad you are and hope you continue to be cancer free. !! 16 or 17 !!. Good Lord, I’d go nuts.

I’ve had a couple cystoscopy and with one exception, they put me under, thank God. One fool tried to do it in the office and I screamed like a girl. Even with the anesthesia it killed when I urinated afterward. I thought I was passing a jagged diamond...

No thanks. I’d rather have a tooth pulled than experience that ever again.
