Also... can't recall the last time Ed Reed tore his achilles.



That seems to be the part that missing here. He didn't have a lot of speed to give up. Achilles injuries have an effect on a players speed/quickness like no other injury. Meaning, he will be slower.

Cling to that one pass break up all you want. The rest of us will reserve judgement and hope for the best.
