According to Francesca this was the first thing he said to jerry. He said they cant always go to the owner then what the coach says isnt gonna be the final word.

Not sure if this is news of thread worthy. How are you otherwise? Keeping the holiday weight off ?

Deion was the pioneer of that pipeline.

Jerry enabled it because he was so infatuated, and the rest is history.

I watched that Football Life featuring Jimmy again on NFL Network the other night, and my favorite part was the interview back in '93 where they're sitting together and Jimmy is asked if he's a better evaluator of players. His answer was that he had 30 more years of experience, so yeah he definitely would always know more than Jerry about how to be a GM.

Jerry is now going on like 25 years in this role, and he still sucks just as badly as he did back in the Shante Carver days. Like Dan Snyder, he will never get it.
