With Terrence now in the mix and Harris somewhat of a question mark (albeit not a huge one), do you think Williams can handle the outside while Miles works the slot position?

I think that's the plan for this year. When Williams comes in, Austin will move inside.

Yeah I thought that was the plan. We needed another outside target. Neither Harris, Beasley, or whatever the names of our other receivers are... none were ideal outside guys.

What good is having Miles in the slot if Garrett is still the playcaller and will not utilize him? I recall in the last Redskins' game, when the Redskins were blitzing either both ILBs (one was Fletcher) or the ILB and safety, and all up in Romo's face, leaving that middle of the filed wide open, Miles was in the slot, and could have easily ran a slant play to him, or hot read, and made them pay for the blitzing.

I don't think Austin has the quickness and manueverability to thrive in the slot.

His skill is route running and a deceptive top flight speed, and imo better suited to the outside.

I have talked out my ass before, but most of my memories of Austin's big plays were on the outside.

That's because we needed him on the outside. We've moved him around though. He's really good in the slot. He's made some big plays from there as well.

Austin's caught quite a few passes over the years from the slot. So did Patrick Crayton when he was here.
