eh we are what we are. A middle of the road team. Hopefully we'll make a little run at the end get hot in the playoffs and then get blown out by SF in the divisional round.

A girl can dream...

What will happen will happen, but I want to make the playoffs somehow. I don't think we will, but it's not inconceivable I guess. It all hinges on Atlanta - a team I think we will beat.

We do that, and I think we can make a run.

If we lose on Sunday, then I'm turning my attention to the draft as our season is all but over.

Sure it's possible. The second half of yesterday's game shows what this team is capable of.

But for instance, I doubt we sweep the Skins. And I'm not even sure we sweep the imploding Eagles, as much as they get up to play us.

Gotta ask though, why do you think we beat the Falcons?

Law of averages. Each week they go undefeated, the better the odds they are to lose.

Also, they're just not that impressive as a 7-0 team. They should've lost to Carolina. Washington played them close. Oakland almost beat them. Oakland.

Our strength (corners) matches up with their strength (receivers).

I like how our defense is playing. Read they only gave up 11 first downs yesterday, and held Victor Cruz to only 2 receptions.

And I don't think the Falcons have a pass rush or Dline that'll overwhelm our average line.

Of course, this might just be the homer in me making one last rally-cry. Who knows. Maybe we'll get blown out.

But no, I think we win it.

Hell, I actually feel better about us on the road. Maybe not this particular week, because I think Falcons fans are really fired up right now and that dome can get loud. But generally speaking, I don't think being on the road vs home really matters.

And maybe we do beat ATL. Wouldn't shock me too much. We have the talent to beat anyone if we just play well.

Maybe we can actually get up for a game and hit the ground running against an undefeated team.

This may be splitting hairs, but I would characterize the Cowboys as an above average team that plays dumb football. No one comes in and rolls us with superior offense. The only way defenses stop us is taking the ball away. And I know that "creating turnovers" is part of playing defense, but I don't think it's a stretch to say that well-prepared, well-disciplined football players don't run up the backs of their offensive linemen and drop footballs or continually make dangerous receptions and carry the ball like a loaf of bread on punt returns. And I don't think anyone can rationally credit all of Romo's *13* INT's to great defense. Is it a coincidence that the Cowboys rank #7 in offense and #4 on defense, but #23 in points scored and #15 in points given up?

This team loses because protecting the football isn't a priority, because it commits tons of penalties at the stupidest times, and because Jason Garrett makes stupid game management decisions week after week after week. There's a complete absence of situational awareness by players on the field that I would think should be simple common sense. I think it's obvious to everyone in the world outside of Valley Ranch that there's just not much attention to detail in Dallas.

There's plenty of blame to go around, and it starts at the top. Jerry is an idiot who can't seem to see that his meddlesome style of ownership doesn't work. Garrett is in way over his head. He makes bad decisions week in and week out, mostly on the most basic of calls that half of America could make from its couch. Then you have players who lack discipline and do the same boneheaded crap every week. You'd think the Keystone Cops routine would get embarrassing after a little while, but I guess that kind of comedic play is ok in Dallas. I'm sure everyone in the organization has pride, but it sure doesn't seem like any of them learn anything from the plethora of mistakes they continue to make.

But I'm the eternal optimist. I go into every game thinking this is the week we'll turn it around. And maybe it makes me an idiot too, but I think it can happen. It wouldn't surprise me at all to see the Cowboys play an error-free game next Sunday night and pull out a win. I think they're capable. They just have to nut up on the field and quit playing with their brains on the bench.

Anything that prolongs ginger's stay here is very bad news for the fanbase.

I'd be happy if the team sputters to 5-11 if it means ginger gets canned. There should not be any major personnel decisions until they bring in an actual professional-caliber HC.

It would be like allowing ur 6 year old child to perform open heart surgery on you if they let ginger stay and doing anything else here.

I understand he's inexperienced and there's going to be a learning curve, but like VA said, this is basic shit he's not understanding.

Not calling a time out when the clock is ticking away, throwing a fade into the end zone on 3rd and 1 with about 1:20 left in the game, and oh yeah, icing your own f'ing kicker.

This guy is unbelievable.

That was the best post I've read on this forum since I last read one of my own posts.

+1. I was waiting for comments from you UVAwahoos. That 2nd and 1, 3rd and 1, and 4th and 1 series on the Giants' 19 yard line is unforgivable. Going for the end zone instead of getting the easy 1st down of 1 yard.

There's not much more to say really. He makes a huge blunder every week. Sometimes, we mange to overcome his coaching and win, but most of the time we end up losing.

We are a mirror image of the Chargers. They've lost some talent, but both of our franchises have been buried by awful coaching.

It's more embarrassing for us since our franchise used to have a proud legacy and a great history. I enjoy reading posts from people who used to vehemently defend ginger. Attitudes have changed now, but it clearly shows how our fanbase is just full of stupid, stupid people. Anyone who defended ginger at any point should really be ashamed. You know who you are. He did nothing to earn his promotion, so you're really just a mindless, robotic kool-aid drinking twat if you thought he was actually some "offensive guru" and bought into the hype.

I know 3-4 dudes here (Dbair of course, the lawyer, etc) who would cry whenever anyone questioned the coaching and there were also hundreds at CZ. Y'all are getting what you wished for now. Enjoy it.
