With Brandon Weeden and Jason Campbell in the mix to be the starting quarterback for the Cleveland Browns, Colt McCoy wasn’t going to stick around.

The Browns found a new home for him today, trading him to the San Francisco 49ers. The Browns will get a late-round draft pick in exchange, according to Jason La Canfora of CBS Sports.

McCoy, 26, has 21 career starts over three seasons and he will be in position to be the backup to Colin Kaepernick for the Niners. McCoy started 13 games in 2011, passing for 2,733 yards with 14 touchdowns.

I guess drafting a QB late does pay off. No matter how sucky they are, and Colt McCoy is pretty sucky.

Yeah. It seemed like a logical fit for him to go to Clev from the beginning, but when he kept falling I got a sense that Holmgren was hoping someone, anyone, would take him so he was not forced on him.

49's just signed Asamough for 1 year 3 million

Yeah, and he "supposedly" told the Niners he didn't want any guaranteed money. :lol

Right. What really happened is 32 teams all watched how fucking shitty he was for the past two years, and said "fuck off" when his agent called with contract "demands"
