I've been a Phillies fan since a little girl. My family went to many games. That said, this is the best start for them I can remember. It's exciting as hell.

But, like our Cowboys, that can all come to a complete halt at the end. Last year's epic collapse, when they were ahead of Arizona 2 games to none & lost the NLCS giving Arizonza a walk to the WS for the first time in 22 years, was devastating. Both the bull-pen & bats turned ice cold that fast ending another WS birth.

Then Dallas losing to Green Bay was the icing on the cake. Let's see where 2024 leads for both franchises.
Not all games are pretty, but they won! 20240516_040248.jpg

Break out the brooms. Phils sweep Nats while Bohm continues being an RBI machine. 20240519_182553.jpg20240519_182622.jpg

The Phillies are 34-14, tied with the 1993 and 1976 teams for the best start in the franchise’s 142-season history. Yes, they have played a soft schedule (only three of 48 games have been against teams above .500), but it’s the only schedule they’ve got. And they haven’t only beaten up the bad teams (sounds familiar). They’ve annihilated them, with a plus-80 run differential that tops all but the Dodgers (plus-85). I'm enjoying the ride, for now. Phils or the Cowboys have to win a championship. Somehow, I think the Phillies have a better shot than the 'Boys!

red sox been doing ok. there's no way they can sustain their pitching for a full season. devers is on fire right now, a homerun in 6 straight games. i'd really like to see more of their young guys develop, and keeping themselves off the IR would be nice. no hope or aspirations for a pennant or anything.

Phillies haven't beaten the Rangers in over a decade. They have a chance today to not only sweep a team over .500. But also a team who won the World Series last year. Crazy! 20240523_031549.jpg

20240526_110242.jpgThe craziness continues. MLB fans will never see a better Phillies team then this current one. They have a 7 game lead over the Braves for the division. When is the last time anyone has seen that! They have won 19 of 23 games & have the best record in baseball, still.

They will have the largest division lead in baseball on Memorial Day. It's nice seeing one of your teams doing so well. We're enjoying the ride at this end. Hopefully it continues....
  • The Phillies are the first National League team to start 36-14 or better since the 1998 Braves and the first major league team to start 36-14 or better since the 2001 Seattle Mariners
  • The 36-14 start is the best 50-game start in the club's 142-year history, surpassing the 35-15 start in 1976 and 1993
  • The Phillies have either won or tied in each of the last 15 series, the longest such streak in a single season in franchise history. The longest streak in which the Phillies won or tied a series is 19 from August 1983 to April 1984
  • The Phillies are 28-6 since April 15, the first time the franchise has won 28 of 34 games since 1895. They haven't had a 29-6 stretch since 1892
  • The Phillies are 103-59 in their last 162 games dating back to May 26, 2023, the best record in baseball
  • Philadelphia is 35-15 against American League opponents over its last 50 games
  • The last time the Phillies were 22 games over .500 at any point of the season was at the end of the 2011 season when they were 102-60 to end that historic season
  • The Phillies are seeking a sweep of seven of their first 12 opponents — the last time they accomplished that was in August and September 1977 when the team won 101 games

It's a stark contrast to 2022 when the Phillies were a .500 team after a month, and last year's 25-30 start with Trea Turner's struggles. Now, Turner's performing at an MVP level, and their starting pitching is the best.

Phillies 50 wins before July & still have best record in baseball w/out
Harper, Realmuto and Schwarber. Yet still find ways to win.
Congrats Big Guy! 🐐

7 All-Stars is a franchise record for the Phillies. Honestly I've never witnessed a Phillies team this good so early in the season. Enjoying the ride! 20240711_042616.jpg

Rojas received a standing ovation from the 44,020 members of the Phillies faithful in attendance after tracking down Hernandez's ball as the Phillies swept the Dodgers in a 3-game series!

Ten years ago today!
20240714_170216.jpg

Ten years later!
The Phillies 62 wins is the most in Phils history before the All-Star game. They are just the fourth team in National League history to have 62 wins before the All-Star break by matching the 1973/'74 Dodgers for the most NL wins before the break. They'll have a record 8 All-Stars.

But today they looked liked Dak Prescott was on the mound & Jason Garrett was coaching! 🤣 20240714_170813.jpg
