But if we fire Garrett, who the hell is going to replace him? There is literally noone out there and hell no to Gruden. He's just like Garrett, his roster needs pro bowlers everywhere.

Anyone else know that feeling when we're just fucked and it seems like its 11 on 10? And that just by looking at both teams right before the snap you couldn't even envision a successful play

I wanted schiano . His teams are ball hawks and kill it on special teams.
He fires people up and gets his message accros. And if you don't like it see ya kellen Winslow and Brian price.

Just look at the way his teams carry the ball so high and tight. His guys buy in. He would've been able to tell Felix is close to retirement

@MikePereira: On a blindside block the player is defenseless and you can’t lead with your helmet no matter where you hit him.” #rplcmntrefs

I saw it and he will probably get fined. He looked to me like he peeled him with his shoulder and he came up through with the helmet. Tate's shorter than Lee so when he exploded through the block he might have hit helmet to helmet. I don't see as the atrocity that people are making it out to be. Also, Pereira is going to homer out for his former co-workers/employees. He is going to be harder on the replacement officials.

Honestly...

There is so much individual talent on this roster.

All going to waste.

That's why I personally think Gruden, with a "Jerry back the hell away" clause in his contract, would work. I think these guys would respond to him and he will make people accountable. I don't think he was perfect in Oakland/Tampa Bay but I think he's what this current roster needs.

That'd be a total circus sideshow hire. Gruden at this stage in his career in this setting would be a disaster. No way would he instill more toughness in them.

But the bigger question is is this team really even capable of that ? After a while you got to wonder if it's the environment thats their downfall and not just bad luck .

Jerry calling the shots since Jimmy left is not bad luck, it's bad planning, loads of it. No coincidences there.

I don't think Gruden would be a worse sideshow than what we have now.

I would want a respected, proven Head Coach with the clout and balls to stand up to Jerry. Not too many names out there that could do that.

Not even worth discussing. Garrett isn't going anywhere.

Unfortunately true.

What would it take? This year hovering around.500 probably gets Ryan or someone else booted.

If 2013 is a .500 or less year, where we look like we can play with anyone one week and then look flat the next, would that be enough for Jerry to admit Garrett isn't the phenom he thought he was?

Gruden doesn't have the right mind-set. He misses hos kids and he thinks he's a star. That would do nothing for me.

I want to see what our next couple of moves are on the LOS but if things don't change soon I'd harvest the roster, give our parcells core studs a new home, and get a windfall of picks .

And yes I did go from saying we got a good shot at the 'chip last week to saying we could be looking at a rebuild this week

I can see that but I still think this core group can win if we fix the line, get a real HC, and remove Jerry from personnel. Otherwise, you're right it' time to rebuild and hope that Jerry is no longer with us much longer. As long as he's shuffling pizza rapping and General Managing, bad decisions will be made and holes will be neglected.

Not true. At least Gruden would take a common sense approach to the game; he realizes that THIS is FOOTBALL and NOT CHESS. Gruden would impose his will on this team, and the team in turn would impose their will on the opponants.

Fact is.... I've seen too many HCs do MORE with LESS.

Garrett gets outcoached because he outthinks himself.

Gruden wouldn't have the team playing like this after 10 days off to study the opponant.
