2011 NFL Draft Tidbit

So I'm reading War Room by Michael Holley. In it, he talks about the draft room of the Chiefs in 2011.

He indicated that KC held pick 135 (which they eventually used to pick Ricky Stanzi). Dallas wanted to move up to that spot and offered 143 (Josh Thomas) and 176 (Dwayne Harris).

Anyone have any idea (or heard) who they might have been wanting to move up for?

I thought it was pretty good. There were things I wish they would have gone into more detail on. Mainly follows Pioli, Belichick and Dimitroff.

I'm not sold on Dimitroff. I think Pioli will eventually build a winner in KC.

Lots of interesting background stuff I didn't know about. Lots of things I wish Dallas did in their front office.

Mike Lombardi gets quite a bit of praise in the book. He gets a lot of credit for helping develop the scouting system that Belichick and Co. have used in NE for years. Oddly, he is one of the guys that never reconnected with that crew. All three front offices are littered with guys that have been working together for years.
