Indeed. Having a D that can force some stops and get us some short fields for a change would be huge. Too often the offense has to plan on scoring 30-35+ just to be "in" a game, we also have ton constantly drive 70-80-90 yards for scores because the D can never force 3 and outs and allows teams...
