Scout’s Notebook: Film Shows Greatness From Romo & WRs

IRVING, Texas - Some thoughts from the film room at Valley Ranch: When Great Wasn’t Enough As outstanding as Peyton Manning played, Tony Romo was better and that is saying a lot. I understand that football is a team game, but for the Dallas Cowboys to win, their best chance was on the right...

    Romo's Performance

:like Is it just a coincidence that when we get the ball late with a chance to win, this guy comes up with a way to turn the ball over? Is he just cursed? Or is it a mental thing.

This is what we ought to do...

I'm not sure I agree with that. I mean, sure, if you have Peyton Manning at QB, a guy who gets the ball out in 2 seconds then maybe. But guys like him don't grow on trees. You still need pressure players on defense.

Escobar blames himself for not giving Romo better target on interception

There was nothing you could've done, Pablo. It's in Tonys nature to make those throws in critical situations.

This is what we ought to do...

Put Romo and Ware on the trading block. Miles too. I don't care if we only get a 7th for Miles. Some team would be desperate enough to give up a #1 for Romo I bet. Ware would probably get you a 2nd or 3rd rounder. Then, with Orton or Tanney, we'd likely tank the rest of our games without...

Is it time to shop Ware?

Kyle Wilbur and Ceaser Rayford had just as many sacks and QB pressures as Ware had yesterday.

What do we know about the cowboys

Oh... Kiffin sucks. I can't remember the last time we had a defense worth a shit. And not just a statistical joke like that 2003 #1 ranked D. I mean a real, pressure creating, turnover causing defense.

What do we know about the cowboys

Romo is an incredible QB until it matters. Another instance of him getting the ball late in the 4th with a chance to win the game, and he crumbles. This time it was against a horrible defense, no less. Miles Austin is garbage. DeMarco Murray is pure shit. Beasley would be a well known...

Normally I'd agree with you. WIthout question. But it's just another instance of Romo getting the ball late in the fourth with a chance to win and he fucks it up. It's beyond a trend at this point.
