Looking back at the Cowboys' draft, Jalen Ramsey really never had a chance at No. 4

Fuck optimism. No one we draft past round two turns into fuckall. Unlikely to change this year.

By Tim Cowlishaw , Staff Columnist Contact Tim Cowlishaw on Twitter: @TimCowlishaw If the second day of your draft raises eyebrows and has the look of a bust, but your first and third days were good, what grade does that earn a team? I’m giving the Cowboys an E for Entertaining...

MMQB Peter King- detailed look inside Dallas warroom

Odd how we liked both Cook and Prescott - two totally different style QBs. Almost like we have no idea what we're looking for.

Cowboys are ready to develop QB they have confidence in

IRVING -- The Cowboys draft a quarterback about as often as a vegetarian sits down to eat a good steak. Now, they get to savor the moment. Dak Prescott wasn't the first quarterback the Cowboys tried to land in this draft. He wasn't even the second. But he's the one the franchise will try to...

Now that Ezekiel Elliot is here...

I think Morris really excelled under that read/react offense. He's had declining numbers every year since. I like that he's low risk decent reward player though. I'd rather keep him over Dunbar. Elliott, McFadden, and Morris. That'd be who I keep. Also would've preferred Elliott get...

MMQB Peter King- detailed look inside Dallas warroom

IIRC King did a similar article about our 2002 draft where he covered the internal discussions about Jammer vs Roy. Was more pre-draft than actual war room, but was fascinating nonetheless.

MMQB Peter King- detailed look inside Dallas warroom

Awesome and insightful article. Still wish we would've taken the Ravens trade. Wish we could've landed Lynch. Wish we didn't take Smith, when his own doctor can only say he "should be able to play again, MAYBE at a high level." And I would've much preferred Cook to Prescott.

Part of me doesn't understand the de-valuing of a running back. I understand its a passing league, but if the guy touches the ball 25 carries a game, is he not worthy of a high selection?

If Oakman can pay her off, she'll disappear and then he can help our rotation. That's how it works, right?

With a pick acquired in a trade last year with Oakland for Brice Butler, the Cowboys have selected Purdue cornerback Anthony Brown at No. 189. Brown had four intreceptions in 2015 and is considered a tough tackler as well. He will bring some depth to
