    NFL Week #14: TNF | Dallas Cowboys (8-4) @ Chicago Bears (5-7)

that entire 89 season was tough to watch...Aikman may have been lucky he missed those 4 or 5 starts just to save the wear and tear he got absolutely brutalized that yr behind that dreadful OL

yep...his back/knee/concussion issues ruined him way too early but he was awesome in his prime

Irvin is gold on NFLN, especially after a Cowboy win

Claiborne wont be on this team next yr, book it. He had a devastating injury and wasn't any good anyway. I'm sure he'll get a chance to earn a spot in camp, but IMO he will ultimately be released. Jones will go all in next offseason. I would bet they'll make 2 or 3 significant moves in free...

He wasn't as nimble making those little duck and roll moves that Romo does, but in terms of rolling out and throwing on the run, Aikman was good at that on those bootleg throws. Aikman also had more speed if he actually decided to pull a ball down and run with it.

    NFL Week #14: TNF | Dallas Cowboys (8-4) @ Chicago Bears (5-7)

There's a reason Troy was a #1 overall pick and one of the higher rated QB prospects ever. Romo has really made himself into a good player (far better than anything anyone could have hoped for). But Aikman was bigger, stronger, had a much stronger arm, threw the ball much more accurately...

    NFL Week #14: TNF | Dallas Cowboys (8-4) @ Chicago Bears (5-7)

Starting to not really care if Marinelli is here as DC next yr 3, maybe even 4 new starters on DL next yr. Have some hope that Crawford and Lawrence are quality players. Lee back at one LB spot, hopefully keep McClain. Could live with Hitchens or Durant as 3rd LB Church out of starting...

there's no way in hell he is a first ballot HOF right now

    NFL Week #14: TNF | Dallas Cowboys (8-4) @ Chicago Bears (5-7)

If he doesn't win a super bowl, he aint getting in...might not get in even if he wins one By the time it comes his chance to get in, his type of stats are going to be commonplace because its just so easy to pass the football...when a mediocre talent like a Nick Foles throws 27 tds and only 2...

    NFL Week #14: TNF | Dallas Cowboys (8-4) @ Chicago Bears (5-7)

Jimmy and Garrett are obviously no comparison, but I do think there's a massive difference between Aikman/Emmitt/Irvin and Romo/Murray/Bryant. Swap those two groups in their primes and I bet this team would be better than it is today, even with Garrett as HC and this sorry defense.

again, would need to know what he was saying...and we don't know maybe it will come out in next few days...but I truly think he was pissed over the way they shit the bed in the 4th qtr with a nice lead he wasn't complaining one iota when those other guys were scoring tds and was the first guy...

    NFL Week #14: TNF | Dallas Cowboys (8-4) @ Chicago Bears (5-7)

Todays playing surfaces are vastly superior to the shit that was out there in the 80's and most of the 90's. The playing surfaces at Philly, NYG and Dallas were all pretty hard and not very forgiving. Philly had probably the worst artificial surface in sports. Those guys careers might have all...

    NFL Week #14: TNF | Dallas Cowboys (8-4) @ Chicago Bears (5-7)

Sure they had more help, but they were also all three better than this current trio. Those 3 guys are in the HOF for a reason, I seriously doubt any of this current "triplets" makes the HOF. Everyone is always quick to point to this other "help" those guys had, but those 3 guys made everyone...

dude was 1st one celebrating all those other TDs for those other guys... I think he's sick of the way this team cant finish off other teams, I don't blame him.

    NFL Week #14: TNF | Dallas Cowboys (8-4) @ Chicago Bears (5-7)

Dez wasn't bitching about not getting the ball, I think he was mad at Murray for taking a ridiculous 14 yd loss on 1st and goal. Murray has been amazing all yr and had a great game tonight, but that run was really stupid.

    NFL Week #14: TNF | Dallas Cowboys (8-4) @ Chicago Bears (5-7)

He's not. Romo is a good player and we have been lucky to have him. But the pussification of the league and all the bullshit rule changes making it so easy to pass have changed the way the game is played and the way stats should be looked at.

    NFL Week #14: TNF | Dallas Cowboys (8-4) @ Chicago Bears (5-7)

Yeah, really. Aikman was a far better QB than Romo. If Aikman and Irvin played today with these rules, they'd score almost every time they had the ball. Then there was Emmitt, that OL, those supporting skill guys in Harper, Novacek, Kelvin Martin. That defense which was EONS better than this...
