DMN: Cowboys not saying it, but rookie Dak Prescott looks like the (backup) man

I was going to mention this the other day, we'd have been stuck with a far lesser backup QB and Prescott would not have gotten these extremely valuable reps. Now we get a better backup QB, have some real hope that we have the QB of the future in place and oh by the way, might just be able to...

DMN: The Star, no matter how lavish, is no substitute for sweat equity

Don't worry, we have The Star facility and Jerry World Stadium players will probably give back money to stay here.

DMN: Cowboys may hold Pro Bowl LT Tyron Smith out for remainder of preseason

FRISCO -- Dallas Cowboys Pro Bowl left tackle Tyron Smith has fully participated in practice the last two days with the intent of playing Thursday night at Seattle. Smith didn't play in the Cowboys' first two preseason games after suffering a stinger in a training camp practice while in Oxnard...

DMN: Cowboys may hold Pro Bowl LT Tyron Smith out for remainder of preseason

Now a DMN report that says Smith has fully participated in practice last two days and will play Thursday night. He says he has full range of motion.

Tyrone Crawford apparently has concussion. New guy Shaneil Jenkins already hurt too.

DMN: Sean Lee confident in young front seven

Really thinking we need one or two moves on defense before week one.

DMN: The Star, no matter how lavish, is no substitute for sweat equity

Benson Mayowa and Andrew Gachkar probably would have taken less money to come here had they seen this then. You should be impressed.

DMN: Cowboys may hold Pro Bowl LT Tyron Smith out for remainder of preseason

I sill worry a little about no live game reps before starting a season for T Smith, but he's as elite as it gets so making sure he's 100% is definitely necessary. Green does need reps and getting to go against Seattle's front on the road is definitely a good gauge of what he may (or may not) be...

Dunbar did so well in rehab the Cowboys had to be disciplined in bringing him back

I think if McFadden and Dunbar could both prove they are healthy and still effective, we could potentially at least get a late round conditional pick for each of them. Not sure either will be able to prove that in time though. I wouldn't waste a roster spot on either, and there's no way in hell...

    Sturm: Dolphins game review

Yep, seemsto be having a really good camp and preseason. Definitely adds something to the offense and is great insurance against injury to Dez and TW. Also might be a less expensive WR option after the season. if TW has a good yr he is going to command quite a bit of money. Both players are in...

Did the Cowboys just find their future QB?

There are certain QB's that are pretty good at running sneaks and some that are not. Romo is not very physically built (he's basically a dough boy), has proven to be somewhat fragile physically and while he has nimble feet to escape the rush sometimes, he is not much of a runner at all...

    Sturm: Dolphins game review

Again good video clips if you go to the link. Cant get them to show in post though. Dallas Cowboys: Sturm: The Morning After - Stuck On Repeat With Another Dak Show | SportsDay What an unexpected pattern we have stumbled upon. After the first preseason game in Los Angeles, the only thing to do...

    2016 Pre-season Game 2: Miami Dolphins @ Dallas Cowboys

I still think its interesting on a team with a bad OL in general that a guy that was crowned as one of the premier LT prospects coming out in recent history, that the Dolphins have to move him inside to G. I guess I'd need to go back and read scouting stuff on him but I don't remember anyone...

Or it might be he's been bonging out and is just sucking on the field.

Pats have injuries at RB and G/T

I think he'd have to show he was fully recovered before anyone would consider giving us even a conditional pick for him. But if he were fully healthy, he does have value as a 3rd down receiving back and special teams guy. Not much value, but something perhaps.

Not good news at all, Broaddus hinting Tapper's back injury is much more serious than just "low back stiffness" Also kinda interesting, Ronald Leary being held out of practice, no reason given. Zeke Elliott participating fully today.

Pats have injuries at RB and G/T

I was thinking Lance Dunbar for them. He's similar to Dion Lewis if he's healthy and he showed he's an exceptional receiver.
