He killed it in preseason though, he clearly had bigtime pass rush ability. He was never healthy last yr, when he got that high ankle sprain in week one vs NYG it looked like a season ending injury. In a way, it was. He never looked the same.

Hoyer starting against us is far better than Cutler. Cutler kills people when he gets no pass rush and he has the arm to make huge plays downfield, and throwing deep downfield is clearly the biggest weakness on the defense. Hoyer doesn't have that kind of arm.
