    2018 NFL Draft Thread

Dude, you are 100% off the reservation with this b/s Our team the past ten years has had ample talent, it's reflected in numerous players own production on the field and some of the success they had in the w/l column (not consistent success mind you, but they did have 3 seasons where they won...

While true, that seems to be something that infects all our DB's over the past several years. They don't make plays. Awuzie, Lewis and Woods (and even Brown) have shown some ability to jump on balls in the air, but it's definitely not a trait that many of our DB's have had over the years...

    2018 NFL Draft Thread

His question marks out of college were around injury, not lack of desire to play or quality level of play. he was graded out extremely high by the Florida coaches and played extensively at RT and LT there (at that time, their offensive scheme dictated flip flopping their tackles based on the...

    2018 NFL Draft Thread

Jimmy once traded 5 picks once for Stan Smagala, he also wasted what ended up being the #1 overall pick in 1990 on Steve Walsh (although he got bailed out a little on that by getting a 1st and another pick back from the Aints). Ultimately though if you are really going to sit there and try and...

It’s time to move on from Dez

That would be one I'd turn down then. Either/Or but not both. I really don't like the idea of giving up the 2nd either with his age and recent injury history.

He's a good player, but he is also 32 yrs old (will be 33 this season) and has had double digit sacks just once in his career. They got him for essentially nothing, which tells me nobody really wanted the guy. Isnt he also one of these dickhead protest guys?

It’s time to move on from Dez

Dez might be gone now and Crawford might be let go or asked to reduce his pay. No excuse whatsoever for the Witten situation. Should be a #2 guy here, not the focal point of the passing game and he is vastly overpaid at this point. Carr was overpaid from the get-go but at least they forced him...

The one and only Jaylon (Gimp) Smith thread

Got it Dodger. if only the coaching genius of Jason Garrett wasn't handcuffed by bad drafting, he'd win super bowls every yr I bet!

It’s time to move on from Dez

We got rid of Romo, Demarcus Ware and made almost no effort to keep any of those DB's of ours last years.

    2018 NFL Draft Thread

These two things are fair points and absolutely true. If Jimmy Johnson were here coaching the exact same players we've drafted the past 5-10 yrs or so, the results would be dramatically different. The biggest liabilities in the franchise are the head coach and the owner. It's not a lack of...

Green played LT and RT at Florida. He was drafted to play swing T here, although the day he was drafted they said they thought he could also transition to G. But the initial intent was backup T with the potential to eventually be the starting RT after Free was done.

Chaz Green also played LT for Tyron Smith in 2016, and played pretty well. He got nailed for 2 or 3 holding calls (one which was b/s) but I'm relatively sure in the two and half games he replaced Tyron, he didn't give up a sack. Now what happened this year was inexcusable and he should have...

Did you ever answer my question? Give me an example of a team YOU believe drafted well. All you keep saying is we haven't, even though people who evaluate draft success have put it out there that we seem to have done pretty well over the past 5 years or so.

I'm quite sure you know the info I am referring to, but I will see if I can dig it up. Not sure if it was posted here at DCU but it was definitely in several threads at CZ.

They haven't sat out completely, they chose to sign low cost guys and some of those guys did end up filling roles or even becoming starters. Does every team trade for "impact" players? But how does either of these have anything to do with drafting good or not? Especially the 1st one. Thank you

Did we draft those players or not? Crawford is overpaid, there is no question. But he's been a starter for a number of years and plays at a decent level. Jones has been a starter, up and down level of play and not the playmaking FS everyone hoped he would be, but he has been a decent starter...

LOL Zimmer was right. Get the QB wrong and he's getting canned. Especially with those kind of numbers.
