    Pressure breaks pipes

Lots of teams win without Tony, Ware, Witten, etc. No one's indispensable.

So coach #4 will do the trick? Hmmm.

Depends on whether he was personally responsible for any of those three hypothetical defeats. Did I blame him for the Saints loss? Hell no.

We've already established that Tony is a fine reg season QB, but not one of those games was an elimination game where the stakes were highest. Seven years of victimhood. Poor Tony.

Apples, oranges. Those weren't win-or-go-home "play in" games with the entire nation watching in primetime. You can stop burying me in meaningless stats because I don't find them the least bit exculpatory, mainly because they don't measure intelligence or decision-making. In the words of Randy...

    Pressure breaks pipes

Yes, we've seen this before, which is why I used the word "rotisserie." So what? All those sterling numbers meant precious little at Fed-Ex Sunday night. As bad as the ravaged defense was against the run, he still had it within his means to win the game, but came down with another case of the...

And 12 of them are enjoying the playoffs sans Romo. How can that be??

    Pressure breaks pipes

It's only a valid comparison if the Saints had an opportunity to make the playoffs in WK 17 but failed because Brees choked. He/they didn't. Brees entered the season with no coach, bounty suspensions and a porous defense. Tony entered the season with his HC patrolling the sideline and a healthy...

    Pressure breaks pipes

Stop with the Brees comparisons. He has many more post-season wins than Tony plus a ring. And he didn't get that ring by handing off to a dominant RB or playing super-conservative like a latter day Dilfer. Tony is a regular season rotisserie guy who fills seats. That's it. Dave Winfield's...

Werder- still possible Garrett gets fired

I vaguely remember Irvin screaming at him during the opener at Washington in 1999 when we fell way behind. I don't think Troy was suited to that Steeler "four-wide" offense.

Werder- still possible Garrett gets fired

oops, right you are. weird that we made the playoffs both years and he was still dismissed.

Werder- still possible Garrett gets fired

Every coach Jerry has hired was given at least three full years to prove himself. I don't think favored son Jason will be the exception.

Interview recap: "There will be changes" per Jerry Jones

Unless he's talking about the GM, Garrett, Ryan or Romo, I don't care.

NFL.com: Cowboys to keep Garrett....may hire OC *** Ray of hope post #19***

Except that Callahan was brought in for the exact same reason: helping Garrett with game plans. "More brainpower" didn't amount to much in the long run.

unlike say Jimmy Johnson, he's never been that guy. he's a specialist, not a walk-around coach who has his hands in everything. If Norv comes in, I seriously wonder what Garrett's role will be on game day other than patting players on the back during pre-game stretching.

NFL.com: Cowboys to keep Garrett....may hire OC *** Ray of hope post #19***

why would he want less power/control? he's an offensive guy to begin with. what will he be doing if not calling the plays? sitting in on the defensive meetings?
