I don't think he had a choice. The vast majority of college programs run the 4-3. For that matter, Ware was probably a 4-3 end. Whether they would have blossomed in the pros as 4-3 ends is another matter.

That part is unavoidable. Did we have all the parts for a 3-4 when Tuna took over? No. Transitions like that can take years (longer if you draft poorly). At the moment, we have too many square pegs (Spencer, Crawford, Hatcher, Sensy) trying to be pounded into a round hole.
